Lights: Mars Hydro Ts1000
Tent: 2.3x2.3x5.3
Medium: Fox Farm Happy Frog with 20% perlite added
Nutrients: Dr Earth 4-6-3 and 3-9-4, blackstrap unsulphured molasses, wormcastings, calmag used for one plant once, flower fuel used for one plant twice
Water: Tap water 450ppm, sits out a day being constantly aerated before using, ph'ing from 6.2-6.8
Flowering Variety: Autoflower
Strain: Candy Kush Auto
PAR/PPFD: 200-300 seedling, 400-600 veg/flower in an 18/6 light schedule
Training: LST with stakes and ties.
Temps: 18c-23c
RH: 45-60%

Plants emerged 3 months ago. I overwatered in the beginning because I tried to keep the soil moist, which must've led to the plants being stunted for around a month. 2 occasions my humidifier wasn't working right and my tent hit 99% humidity. My temps have been cold which sucks for seedlings but I haven't been able to fit a heater in my tent with the plants properly. I'm working on trying to get a light baffle set up as well that a heater from the outside could feed into. After a month had passed I top dressed all plants with 1tbsp of the veg and 1tbsp of the flower mix. Used molasses for 2 separate feedings at a rate of 1/2tbsp per gallon of water. Continued feeding nutrients every 2 weeks, except for one week where I went an extra week without and started noticing deficiencies, which also started after using molasses. The plants were blooming at different rates so the nutrients used were ratio'd differently. I'm not sure if the Dr Earth stuff are complete fertilizers with the necessary secondary and micronutrients which may have led to issues in using it, the nutrients weren't entirely powder. It was mixed with some bigger pieces and powder which formed a crust and hardened layer on my soil. Had some twisted leaf growth, had some pale growth tips that happened for a while then went away.

Soil had become compact after using top dressings, didn't know how to fix that. Gave worm castings a couple times as top dress to help with microbes and soil texture, ranging from 1/4 to 1/2 cup. Added barley straw to maintain some moisture and hopefully microbial life as it seems my plants don't want to uptake nutrients. Gave flower fuel to my one messed up plant twice at a 1/3 of the recommended dose.

I have nutrient tip burn as well as deficiencies (maybe certain nutrients blocking others out). Been having issues with the plants throughout the grow. A slow stunted start, and a pretty long veg time. My grows usually have very slow growth, I'm not sure why, like 1-2 inches of veg growth a week. My curling and browning/yellowing leaves led me to believe phosphorus deficiency.

Current state: one plant is very messed up in appearance, yellow, brown, curled leaves, spots, burnt tips. One plant is getting some orange and purple fading, messed up leaves, deficiencies, and tip burn. One plant is just getting pale overall with some tip burn, spots, deficiencies.

I would like to know what went wrong throughout the grow and what can be done currently and in the future.

For my next grow I'm planning on using ocean forest since I already bought the bag, and am unsure if I should add some stuff to it, like dolomite lime and if issues arise for it throughout a grow like it running out of micronutrients.

Thanks

Phosphorus potassium deficiency imo.
It does seem like that, can that also contribute to yellowing leaves, that nitrogen wouldn't fix? Gave a 3-9-4 2tbsp topdress a week ago and week before that 1tbsp. Wondering why I have deficiencies and also nute burn? But it also feels like its not really absorbing the nutes idk

Possibly locking out not taking up needed elements. That's the gamble with organic

Hm what is there to do? I'm ph'ing my water but it does drift from 6.5 to 7.5 in its container in about 2 days, does it drift the same way when it's been watered in? Normally my water's ph is around 8.5.

Humidity has not been your friend but more than likely you have locked out calmag common problem. Do you water to runoff ? Do you have a ppm/ec meter ?
then when you though you were helping you probably hurt it even more with the top dress- to much food

I haven't had rh issues after the first month. Have kept it steady with an automatic humidifier. I'm growing organic aside from the calmag and flower fuel i fed to the one very messed up looking plant in picture 5. Sometimes I do have some runoff but I tried to avoid it. Only time I measured runoff in the organics was about 2100.

Looks like you have 3 plants and 2 are giving you issues right? Those 2 have tiny buds which makes me think it's a pk issue. It's either being locked out or wasn't amended enough

Well all of them are giving me troubles now, the purpling one was fine for most of the run (compared to the other two) but then it just started having the pk issue. The lanky one is a bit too pale, and kinda larfy. Then there's the one that's all frazzled, that turned sour long before the other two and I'm not sure why. All plants have burnt tips, so I guess lockout, if it's related to the drift in my water's ph over time I'm not sure what I can do about it.

For one feeding I was one week delayed because I read someone else doing it every 3 weeks. But then the super burnt out one got its problems, and very quickly, wasn't able to reverse it with wormcastings to improve the microbes and breakdown of nutes, gave it extra nutes too (the flower fuel). When I started seeing issues on that plant I did feed with molasses in the water a few days prior, and I was wondering if that caused the issue.

Idk. I just know organic growers use it to maintain pH. That's probably your issue... pH swings.

Let’s get a organic grower to answer - @ComfortablyNumb this grower got a mess adding stuff to his organic grow

I had the same issues with candy kush. I grew in hp pro mix with mycorrhizae using gaia green dry amendments and worm casting. Watered with a pH of 6.2 to 6.5. 40% humidity and 67-71F. It is a very temperamental strain in my experience. Since your growing autos they will be even more temperamental. I would avoid adding any type of liquid nutrients or boosters and flush the plant with just water with a pH of 6. Dolomite is unnecessary a could cause more issues at your stage in the grow. Rapid fluctuations in pH are detrimental during flower. Good luck 👍

This experience put me off autos a bit. I'll revisit it when I find nice genetics. I was interested in this strain because it had cbd in it as well. Currently I'm going with some strains that have been around a little longer. I've got a blueberry photoperiod running right now for a couple months and it's definitely the nicest looking plant I've grown so far.

I've got no access to windows or anything for fresh air ventilation and AC/heating would be expensive to maintain constant climate, so I'm trying my luck at just what I've got. I've got a humidifier keeping the humidity pretty steady though. Trying to create some light proofing for my passive air intake vents on the bottom of my tents.

Candy kush seems like a crazy unpredictable stain you can see the top 2 in my pics top left and right are candy kush autos, but then the 3rd one (bottom right) is growing more like my Hindu Kush autos, middle and bottom left) I’m in FF happy frog 100% at week 3 on all except the top middle plant (yes that bottom left Hindu Kush has gone insane some sort of genetic freak haha)

Where did you get your seeds from?

Blueberry is probably one of the top stable genetics you can grow. I'm not a big fan of autos myself either, I always had some form of nutrient issues.

I got the seeds from growerschoiceseeds, I believe they come from auto seeds. Descriptions of this strain vary a bit across different sites. Took pretty long for them to start flowering as well.
