Hello Growers...I have a young Durban Poison that is struggling
These are the most recent photos ....
She was planted in fox farm light warrior, I fertilized it with a very light N organic liquid fert after about 10 days. She started showing purple color in the central leaves veins, now some spotting appeared and the older leaves are yellowing. Overall a bit of a stunned growth. I thought that she wasn't getting enough nutrients from the FFLW soil so I transplanted it into a richer soil yesterday.
From what I could tell it seems like a P lockout maybe due to pH ? I'm waiting to receive a pH meter to do some test on the water I use and the runoff waters as well and slurry test to see where I am at with this organic soil.
I have 3 other plants that are doing great though in the same soil so I'm really wondering what's going on with this one.
Does it seem like an over watering reaction to you ? I watered well at transplant but I'm thinking that the soil is maybe holding too much water for this stage..
Thank you for any advice....

You might be overwatering. From what I've heard, DP does not use as much water as most strains.

thank you for chiming in...good to know, I wasn't aware of this peculiarity of this strain. I will keep a special eye to the watering schedule for her, for now I was just thinking of letting her dry out and see how she is responding. It seems like that the new leaves are doing better so maybe she just need to grow out the overwatering shock ( given that there are no other issues..I will check the various pH once I get the meter ) The plan for this plant is to veg it indoor until march and then transition it outside into the greenhouse and outdoor. Most likely keep her in apot so that I can move her back to the greenhouse at the end of the season, flowering will be long due to the dominant Sativa's genetics.

happy to share this quick update on this Durban Poison...seems like she is catching up and liking her new pot, most likely an ovewatering issue the older leaves are now drying uo and the new growth seems healthy 🤩
I'm letting her dry out slowly + added a small 10" fan as additional air flow to the 6" clip on. Seems like it's helping to get the soil to dry out quicker

You do not have enough drainage in those pots. Get a drill and pop 20 1/4 inch holes around the bottom and in the bottom. Weed likes to almost dry out in soil.

Check the ingredients in your soil for Lime or Dolomite.

Do this and post your results:
Slurry Test

Plant looks like it recovered well and starting to get some green. Sometimes when they are small like that they can't handle a lot of water and need some time to get their roots set out. Best of luck.

the soil I am using right now it's a mix of FFOF and and organic mix I have used in my vegetables garden ( bought a few cubic yards from a local soil shop and had some left over ). I had great results using it, I believe lime/dolomite have been added to it.
I'm going to do a slurry test to check the ph of the soil mix , just got a bluelab pen .
As far as drainage, thee pots have 5 or 6 big holes/windows along the bottom side...I always thought they were big enough for drainage....

It's not the size of the holes. Its the amount of air flowing thru the soil. This is why we use fabric pots.
