Take a sample and set it aside in an uncovered cup or whatever for 24 hours and then test it again .
You may want to look into titrating with muriatic acid to safely and effectively get under 6..
I suspect your KH is high anf the pH down really only has instant effects . 24 hours later the KH drives your pH back up ..
Test a cup after 24 hours of sitting .
* I have never even tried hydro, but understand water plenty ...

You should be top feeding once a week to keep them inoculated. And you are using a bacteria or sterile system again. Sorry been helping a few ppl lately. A bit busy at the moment but lets start over from 0 and give me a list of all equipment and how its setup, all nutrients and oh adjust and how your using them

In thinking not enough time between adding the buffer to mix… OP start with 1/2 tsp per 5 gal of potassium bicarbonate

I appreciate you believe me lol so to water comes out 18 pms with a ph of roughly 9, the total water itself I was changing ph no problem with what I had in it , was balancing between 5.1-6.2 but drastically I put bicarbonate in, then calmag, then small amount of silica, floratrio, small amount of rapidrooter and floralicious and nectar because ppm still wasn’t at 300 by the time I was done with trio

Well I guess we will see what happens I redid the res 5.5 stable for now. Did the recommended trio after calmag brought it to 650. The plants just started smelling good yesterday idk why I thought there was an issue, guess it’s just newb shit. Done panicking over them. Bicarbonate was 40ppms this time. I also have hydro guard in which I’m guessing is going to be killed by the small amount of 3% hydrogen peroxide I put in(didn’t fully think that one through with the rushing)also was reading and didn’t realize flora has buffers it in or at least it’s what their site says. Tomorrow will be end of week 4. Not disregarding what youve tried explaining and helping, I appreciate everyone’s input, first hydro grow the setup costs a lot and I’m just impulsive. Not sure why my ro won’t change the ph about to return the fucking thing it even told me I had to replace the filters on it after 90 gallons of use. I just pulled them out and reset it.

After enough patient research I’m 99% sure that it was root rot, I didn’t get a picture but there was brown slime, I’m assuming I had a light leak, the peroxide seems to have helped. The branches are beginning to gain strength back. I know that’s only temporary I’ll top feed with hydro guard weekly, lowering temp of water from 73 to 70 and just a waiting game at this point. Res went from 5.6 to 6.3 in 6 hours. I’ll se how it holds up. Gonna have to lower it at 6.5. I believe for the next res change I will drop the fuck out of the ph to 4 since the plain ro changes ph easily rather than doing it after buffer, add the trio , calmag,then the bicarbonate buffer until ph is 5.5.@Aqua Man thank you for all the advice

I can explain this all once im out if this dentist chair bro… i need to look but if thats silicate then that part of the reason. If its a silicate then you use that as a buffer and drop the potassium bicarbonate. It needs added first.

Both the bicarbonate and silicate are buffers so by adding both your alkalinity was very high and took a lot of acid to bring down. If using silicate products add then first. I bet the silica is potassium silicate which i mention in the PH thread i think i already linked. This would replace the bicarbonate. Basically you were doubling up on a buffer

So silicate first then PH down below 6.5 then cal mag and nutrients allow 20 min or so of mixing between the silicate and adding anything else or you may end up with precipitation of nutrients. The at the end PH adjust again to 5.6 and check it 30 min later.

Ph is important when mixing and extremely important to add the silicate first let it mix for a good periid of time and then PH down to 6.5 before adding anything else

Going to take pictures of roots today before I clean them off, it’s gotta be root rot with the brown orangish slime on them assuming this has been what’s causing the drooping. I rinsed them off 2 days ago and it’s back. I have hydroguard in, I put a black contractor bag over the top of my res, lowered temp to 70, ordered great white that will be here tomorrow. The plants are slowly gaining strength again but I’m afraid that will only be temporary if I don’t fully remove the bad bacteria. @Aqua Man
