Has anyone tried Elemental Nutrients Complete Crop? It's a 9-5-15 on NPK ratio and it suggests using that ratio from seedling/clone until last week of flower. Upon first glance, I'm a bit skeptical because it might be a bit low on the N for the veg stage, but nothing that can't be supplied with some kind of N booster once in a while. But to me overall it looks like its good stuff, mainly because their PK booster is all the rage for early bloom and late bloom supplementation and is high in phosphorus.
And the fact that it's a one part, is also attractive to me. I mix my dry amendments in a 5 gallon bucket with a pressure washer. I think the simplicity of using a one part and not having to mix another part which can cause potential problems if not mixed properly, is a huge plus. For anyone that does use complete crop or another one part base nutrient, would you recommend it for me?
I'm coming from HGV after several harvests, I used their 3 part throughout my cycles. And honestly, is it just me, or they're full of crap when they recommend watering consistently at 3.0 EC? Their co-founder suggest the reason their nutrients can be watered at 3.0 EC without problems is because, "oUr INgreDiEnTs ARe HIgHeR QUaliTy,' and that somehow allows them to provide 2-3 times the amount of nutrients per watering than other already well established brands, and very long time growers which barely ever go above 1100 TDS on the 500 scale? It's hilarious because athena recommends 3.5 EC. Won't be long before we have another that recommends 6.0 EC and we're using up a 25 pound bag in 1 week or less. All because their ingredients are THAT much higher in quality. Haha
Half of my plants had week 2 buds at the end of week 7... This can be attributed to bad genetics and bad environment, but I think nutrient lock is equally a culprit. I was watering around 3.0 EC or 1500 PPM since early bloom. Other half of my plants produced decent buds, and even though I was probably choking them to death with that 3.0 EC, they managed to survive and grow, although heavily stunted, thanks to their decent genetics. I'm done with HGV and their co like Athena, because they really are trying to push their business rather than telling you what you really need for your plants. All I can say is if you stick to HGV, using the 2.4/4 ratios and a maximum of 3/5 after week 5 for late phase PK boost.
Sorry for the rant, but I think it's an important discussion. Complete crop recommends 7.5 grams a gallon as compared to HGV which is 4.2/7 or 11.2 grams a gallon. I think they a bit more trustworthy as they recommend a more understandable concentration. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm betting it isn't 3.0 EC, and if it is, can try 6 and 6.5 and see how it works. Anyways, what do yalls think?
