I find myself leaving for a trip late Wednesday and I’ll be gone until August 24. I just cut a plant down yesterday. Simply wasn’t ready five days ago. Trimmed all the branches and hung them in the tent. Typically I would let them hang for a week or so before final trim and jarring. I doubt they will be anywhere near ready for the jar in 72 hours. Any big downside to leaving them to hang in the tent for 3 weeks? The tent temperature is around 71 and the humidity is 55%. Will they dry too much? Will the potency be adversely affected ?

Depends on how dense the nugs are. But the buds will be fine to be honest .

Should be ok. I forget a couple big arms in my drying tent all the time. And when I find them and roll them up and smoke em they are cured nice. Resinous. Frosty as hell. With a nice burn characteristic. If the buds are nice and thick. You will probably be fine to leave them hanging. Just be careful when you trim. Worst case scenario it's nicely cured but a bit too dry and you gotta smoke it in the bong.

Thanks . I’ve got the fans and the Infinity going . I know I don’t want to jar them if even a little shy of dry . I could ask a neighbor to trim and jar but that’s a big ask!

You might want to slow thay infinity down to minimum before you go away. And make side the fans inside the tent aren't blowing right on them. To keep them from getting too crispy while you wait to trim.

Thx for that suggestion. I have the Infinity on ‘5’ . I plan to turn all ventilation off after Wednesday . I return in 3 weeks

Paper bags slow the dry and are my step two after hanging, before jarring. 🤷‍♂️

If you are going to leave them for 3 weeks leave some ventilation running. You might find moldy buds when you return if not.

Not off. But just on low. Otherwise it will go brown and funky.
