Hi, I started with purchased clones about 8 inches tall. 1 super lemon haze and 9ne patron The plants have been doing great for over a month but now the leaves on the SLH look to he droopy. I read a lot about over/under watering but I am just not sure. I have been very careful but can't seem to fix the droop.

Fox farm soil
Water when pot is light, dry first 2 inches, Meter reads low moist to dry.
Not seeing any yellowing of leaves
2 plants under 450 led, some direct sun
Temps range 70 - 80
Height 3 ft

Is this plant ok, I am ready to flower but am hesitating because I don't want to start buds on an unhealthy plant.

Appreciate any help or insight

It looks like the leaves are not fully expanding. It sounds like you are watering correctly, so I'm going to guess your humidity is a little on the low side.

BTW, welcome to THC Farmer.

Looks hungry - light yellow growth overall the left plant just needs a minor feed
Looks thirsty - make sure you completely saturate the pots when you water
Back off the light for a few days until you see some recovery and you may want to look in to adding Epsom salts. What are you using for water? RO? Distilled? Tap?

Once you enter flower your plants will get REALLY hungry so make sure you've got your nutrient amounts dialed in. Feel free to ask questions if you're unsure and welcome to the farm 🌲

Thank you, glad to have found this site. It could be low humidity. I didn't think of that. It's humid out so my a/c is on. I have it set to 78 to keep it from running....not making my husband too happy but plants first lol.

Thanks, using bottled water that is slightly acidic . Is distilled better? Soil is pretty moist right now from watering yesterday.
I picked up some ph and npk testers. Was going to check before feeding.

When you say back off the lights do you mean hours or distance?

Thank you very much for replying. I am so excited.

SLH is known to be a slightly fickle mistress. But worth the effort if it turns out.

vpd issue? Sorry I don't know the term

With LEDs in particular its important to match the leaf temperature to the humidity levels. Keeping the VPD in the green keeps it growing at a maximal rate. Use the charts in the link to check your setup. Somewhat critical.

Better is a relative term. Bottled or distilled water will contain practically 0 trace elements so keep that in mind. Calcium and Magnesium will be the two big ones. Have you tried your tap water or checked to see what your city analysis is like?

Just distance until the yellow gal recovers a bit.

I will check our local water. I know my tomatoes do great with it. I'll move the yellow girl. Thx

Awesome thank you. I will check this out for sure. The humidity around here has been so up and down

If you use house water, then my question is whether you have a water softener? Water softeners remove calcium and magnesium. I always thought my water had enough cal-mag, so when I found out that a water softener removed it, I started adding Cal-Mag from veg through blooming which quickly improved my plants.

So far just bottled water, I assumed my tap water would have too much chlorine in it.

Let you tap water set out for 24h and the chlorine will off gas/ disperse. Faster with air stone and pump. A little chlorine isnt even a big deal imo.

Kinda seems like the plant is locked out from a ph imbalance or just very hungry. I would water thoroughly with whatever nutes you intend to use.

Fox farm won’t take you to finish by itself especially not with a heavy feeding sativa

You can’t go wrong getting your vpd dialed in but I don’t think it’s your issue with the off coloring
