Hi again. I need some help again if possible. I’m getting yellow edges/leaves, burnt tips and purple stems. I’m growing outdoor in soil in my raised garden I’m about 2-3 weeks into flower. Long story short about 6 weeks ago I was getting yellow lower older fan leaves (3 leaves a wk or so)and some burnt tips while feeding it 6 4 4 fox farm every other watering. Watering every other day. So I flushed it for a week. But kept getting yellow leaves. At this point I don’t know if anything is working and I have to go away on a work trip. I left for 2 weeks and had someone water it every other day with 1/2 tsp of calmag. I got home this past Saturday and the plant seamed to be doing fine except a lot more burnt tips on green leaves and that yellow section mid plant. Do you think I need more nutes?if so what kind? The burnt tips just make me feel like it’s a burn. Any help is greatly appreciated. Ps I did feed it half a dose of the flowering nutes 2 8 4. On Monday so 2 days ago. Still waiting to see what happens. Ph of soil was 7 2 weeks ago. I’ll update ph tomorrow. Thanks

I have only noticed yellowing and burns when my plants get too much water i let hem dry out if the rain stays away and they get better. I do not use nutes so I could not help you there. I am sure someone who knows a million more things than I do will come along and help ya out .

To me the purple leaf branches are genetics. Mine did the same thing when in flower. My stocks and branches are turning as well. So yours may do the same. But, again I could be wrong either way good luck. I hope all finishes well for ya.😁

Yup overwatering will cause a laco of o2 and slow nutrient uptake as a result.

To me im thinking your nutrients are being washed out of the soil. Try some gaia 4-4-4 or other alow release fertilizer.

See all available nutrients are water soluble, this includes synthetic and organically derived (foxfarm is a mix of these) If they are in true organic form they are not water soluble and this cannot be washed away.

Slow release and organic nutrients break down into water soluble form slowly over time and thus give a sustained source of nutrients to the plants.

So it could be overwatering and leeching causing deficiencies and that would be my best guess as to the cause.

Now plants also naturally shed the oldest, least efficient leaves and that may also be part of it. But usually you see this more towards the end of its lifecycle

Thank you for the info.I tried to let the soil get dry before watering. But this is my first grow so I really don’t know what’s considered dry lol. So the 4 4 4 will have enough of all the nutes for the next 4-6 weeks(I won’t have to change nutes again?) . I forgot to mention in my post that it’s been pretty much 93 degrees everyday for the past week. I’m sure the heat isn’t helping anything either.
