auto's in FFOF
sprouted 8 days ago
i started with just a few pumps from a spray bottle at the base every day or so
started to do the circles farther apart every time now
the soil was wet from the bag but now most of the pot reads dry on the meter
3 gallon fabric pots
so how big should these be before i fully water the pot?
i have no idea how fast roots grow and don't want to give them root rot like my last grow
thanks

When it gets to about the size it would have been to transplant had you started it in a solo cup. Typically 2 or 3 sets of true leaves and those roots will be ready to start searching. Then make sure to start watering the pot in it’s entirety. Once you start watering the pot it will probably take at least a week of dry back with a plant that small.

As i looked at calendar it has been 1 week since seedlings popped, at this point will water once a week till they gain size.

Remember these are autoflowers, you do not transplant, when they pop they will grow to a certain size then stop and grow there root system growing slowly topside till they get big enough to do there stretch, at this point will water once a week till they gain size.

Pls don't say "you don't transplant" autoflowers it just sounds like nobody does it. Roots aren't babies. They are strong and if you have fabric pots they get root pruned EVERYTIME IT GETS AIR. It's bro science that you can't transplant.

Been running autoflowers 10 years, you do not transplant them, you do not put them in solo cups, you put them in the pot you intend to do your grow in, my bad bc I thought he was running autoflowers, as for the first water I just did bc there autoflowers, if a photoperiod plant you would start in solo cup till you get a cuple sets them transplant into a what? 2gal pot? 3gal pot? We always wet the dirt when transplanting then depending on strain and shock go easy till it gains more size, we have started in a solo cup and ended up in a 7 gal, I thought you were talking about autoflowers but must have hit wrong thread your probably growing hydroponicley lol sorry bro.

Where's the science for starting autoflowers in final pots? Sounds like bro science.

the thought is, anything that might slow down your growth is to be avoided, transplant shock can last up to a week, now your plants are much smaller when they start to flower
