Hi all,

Should I be worried about the damaged leaves getting in to the budsites? Aside from the brown spots the leaves appear ok. They don’t pull off of the plant so I’ve left them on. The deficiency has been there for weeks and hasnt really changed despite phing water between 6.2 - 6.8.

The plant has fed really well through all of it taking 2l every other day. Would you harvest at the start of the window or nothing to worry about? Thanks in advance!

I didn’t use cal mag during veg and was sloppy with my ph until they started showing problems

Plant is the back left in the photo of 4.

Day 68, dos si dos auto, Barneys farm.

Biobizz all mix, plant magic oldtimer, biobizz calmag, blackstrap molasses. Soft water area.

20/4 light schedule under a 300w lumatek ats pro.

IF the leaf dies in the bud it can trap water in the top and cause bud rot.
Thanks. Bud rot is the fear, although my environment is pretty dialled in. 17c at lights out, 22c lights on, 50% rh. Guess I’ll keep going, plucking any that die and look to harvest on the early side

Lol what u mean? Never heard of this as it all comes to RH / Bud density / too much foilage/ ventilaion.
I dont think A dying leaf itself is the cause of bud rot... but Im a rookie burnt cookie lol

As soon leaves die from a def or simply just because the plant sucked all the nutrients out of it , it will just dry and fall? Most of us will just pluck em if its a wind away from falling on its own cause it looks ugly anyways

I am not 100% on your mix or grow so take it with a grain of salt but I would caution against using that much molasses on your grow and the deficiency it causes from lockout looks similar. High potassium can lockout N, P, cal and micros A little backstrap from time to time isn't going to hurt though if that is what you are doing.

Dead leaves in a big, thick cola can be a sign that there's bud rot inside. If you tug on dead/dying leaf in a cola and it comes out easily, it's bud rot.

I don't know if that means the leaf died and caused the bud rot or the bud rot killed the leaf. I always leaned toward the theory that the bud rot killed the leaf, and not that the dead leaf caused the bud rot, but that's just a guess.

The addition of molasses was new this grow (and it sounds like I’ve used it too often). I haven’t experienced these deficiencies/lockouts before. What’s the consensus on the leaves? Do I need to worry about them damaging the bud?
