Hi everyone! Hoping for a little bit of guidance as this is my first grow and would love the input brains trust on whether she is ready to harvest, or at least part harvest.

Medium: soil
Light: Viparspectra P1000 20hrs on @ 45 DLI
Age: 74 days
Strain: Auto white widow CBD 2:1 & 60% Indica / 40% sativa

I had been feeding her half dose of instructions on the bottles of the nutrients (Charlie carp, tomato rite, seasol, potash but now have some Ionic Grow & Ionic Bloom for the next girl) but have recently discovered PPM scheduling and got myself a meter which has been super helpful and i realise she was perhaps a bit overfed. Began flushing a week ago as I discovered the runoff was 3500ppm so assumed I had a bit of nutrient build up and thought it was probably the right time to flush anyway as the leaves were starting to drop and yellow a bit. It is now down to 1200ppm after 1.3L of water daily.

Is the at the right stage to continue the flush? Or should I add K nutrients again?

The top colas have mostly milky trichomes with a couple of amber ones popping up, while some of the lower are milky with a few clear. Should I snip off the top ones and continue allowing the lower to develop? I read the trichomes continue developing during drying and curing, is this true?

She is a 5% THC 10% CBD - if one were to allow her to produce more amber, would that alter her predisposed genetic makeup making her more sativa? I’d rather her be as described but thought it would ask the question as it helps to know exactly how this works.

Anyway, here are some photos of her along with some close ups of the top colas & trichomes, and the lower branches (in that order)

Don’t quote me on this but the longer you let the plant go the more thc you will get, if your trying to keep a low thc then I would stick to an earlier harvest rather a late harvest. That being said the plant still looks like it has a few weeks to go. I wouldn’t keep flushing but I don’t know if you should add nutrients or not as I’m not a big soil grower.

That plant is very pretty, you did a good job growing it. She looks ready to me. Take a sample now and burn it in a few days and see if you like it. If not wait a few days and take another sample. The only way to know for sure is to try it at different stages to know what's what.

Definitely not ready for harvest, easily needs 2-3 more weeks before considering chopping. Good luck!✌️

All I run is autoflowers and it or they look good, I use Atami Bloombastic for flowering and allot of the time the top half will finish first and you can chop what is ready and let the lower flower finish up, this will not hurt it, I chop by trichome and want 20 percent amber so when I see 10 percent I flush out with cold water as this will knock down any foxtailing and plan to chop in 7 to 10 days or I just chop the part that is ready.
