That's really interesting.....if yours split from seed, or soon after germination, that's different. I've only seen a few split from 2 to 3 after like the 4th leaf set. I should have taken pics of the 1 this past summer as it happened. The ultimate structure/result was pretty much the same with all of them, they became more branchy, as if they were topped, but without being topped. They ultimately looked bushier. I'll see if I have an earler pic of it. think it's even more rare than a recessive trait, but not super rare, it does happen, I'm surprised you haven't seen more often than.......maybe it happens in 1 out of 100? 1 out of 200? Just a rough guess. I pollinated the one from this summer so I have a lot of seeds from it, but I don't even know if it's possible to increase the likelihood of it through breeding, even if there was a male and female found...Having had it in a tray with several others, I really can’t one hundred percent say. As I said I thought it was two plants until I hauled it out. Looking at where the split occurs and having had planted this seed in that cup, I believe the split occurred from the seed. There were two dead cotyledon leaves at the bottom, node one with three limbs. It actually has three tops, but the two you see in the pic shaded the middle completely out. This is a first for me. It’s very interesting.
You, having experienced this before can answer my questionsWhat is the structure like, and do you consider it stable genetics?
This plant is called blackberry Moonrocks.
Does it? If so, when do you you freeze? Before decarbing? After? After soaking? Where does all of this stuff go then? Into the freezer? ;)Freezing does;
MORE EFFECTIVE TRICHOME REMOVAL
Trichomes are the small, resinous glands found on cannabis plants that contain the cannabinoids we are after, mainly THC, CBD, CBG, etc.
The goal of the QWET process is to remove as many of the trichomes from the plant matter as possible.
Freezing the plant matter makes these trichomes more brittle and easily separated, or broken off, from the plant material.
This helps us get the most cannabinoids off the plant and into our tincture, resulting in a more potent final product.
REMOVE CHLOROPHYLL
Freezing cannabis helps prevent the chlorophyll in the plant material from being absorbed into the alcohol tincture.
Chlorophyll, the most abundant pigment in plants, is responsible for the bright green color associated with kale, spinach, celery, and, yes - cannabis.
Chlorophyll produces a strong green taste and color we try to avoid in this extraction method.
While chlorophyll plays a vital role in healthy foods, like in the consumption of raw cannabis, many people do not want it in their final cannabis product for various reasons.
REMOVE WAXES AND LIPIDS
Freezing also helps remove other naturally occurring plant compounds, like waxes and lipids, also called 'the undesirables.'
When the flower is frozen, the waxes will stay frozen and can then be filtered out during the filtering or straining process.
This prevents the majority of waxes and lipids from entering your final product, resulting in a 'cleaner' end product.
I see what it is, they're only freezing......they're doing no heat steps or even room temp steps at all (besides decarbing). I'll try it, I see one picture where there's some separation/what looks like solids/fats.....alcohol strips fats and all, I wonder if anything is also being lost in this method, if you're giving up something to get something.Freezing does;

I have it like once a month and kind of enjoy the taste. It's not like I'm mixing drinks with it. ;). But I'll give it a try.

I evaporate after it's all done, in a double boiler at a low enough temp to speed up evaporation, but high enough to be faster than just letting it sit at room temperature.freezing is a must in my world.,
how are you evaporating off the alcohol?
From what I know you must decarb for anything edible, no matter what. I've only read a few things that try to deny that, but I think you mean an extract without decarbing so you can then smoke the final product?I prefer QWISO so I don't have to decarb. I am a smoker for real!
When I make edibles I decarb. I use my LevoC for oil extractions and have yet to use the Grain Alcohol in my freezer yet for QWET.
There a million links with info needed.
Search why freeze cannabis before extraction..
Most freeze herb and alcohol for 24 hours.
They mix quickly and place back in freezer.
For some recipes there is not much time, but for others the soak can be as long as you like [ RSO ].
I use a rice cooker for now to evap my alcohol off but have no reclaim of it . Was only like $20.
They have countertop distillers that are made for alcohol that are reasonably priced. Like $100
I like to extract with ISO so the cost is cheap.
I smoke my extractions which most people really can't handle.
The IMO only oil/butter/ honey extractions need heat.
Alcohol is better frozen IMO.
Back in the 90's I used a coffee maker to push ISO through the herb.
That shit was BLACK and needed to be mixed back with dry herb to be smoked and lived through!
Who knew back then heat was not needed and brought along all sorts of hitchhikers?
It's like an ongoing 24/7 conversation. You just hop on board whenever.......like jumping on to those spinning carousel things on the playground.....Are you all up to date now???![]()
Turbo source same process just a little more pricey at $600 I use ethanol and reclaim I too soak longer than normal for a more rso feel when smoked gives you more of a complete high rather than a blasted dab that only full of thc .I prefer QWISO so I don't have to decarb. I am a smoker for real!

I go right to Highpoint........no, I don't. ;)Turbo source same process just a little more pricey at $600 I use ethanol and reclaim I too soak longer than normal for a more rso feel when smoked gives you more of a complete high rather than a blasted dab that only full of thc .
@steamroller said he smokes his extractions though, so he doesn't need to decarb. If you're evaporating it off in a double boiler, that is also somewhat decarbing it... sounds like you're making RSO? I've only made RSO once, but I didn't decarb before making the tincture that I planned on cooking down. From what I know you must decarb for anything edible, no matter what. I've only read a few things that try to deny that, but I think you mean an extract without decarbing so you can then smoke the final product?
Trying to make a smokeable extract from grain alcohol can't be very clean. I've never tried that. Maybe steaming the resin off? Meh......there are much better ways of getting extract. It's one of those things where if it were so good, everyone would be doing it......then again, "everyone" doesn't always follow the right path. ;)
There's so many methods and opinions around all of this. I've read that soaking for a long time adds no value, high proof alcohol pretty much strips resin (and other things) off pretty quickly and efficiently. We'd have to look at real science experiments with proper measurements to see what methods get the most, lose the most, etc.
I’m sure it’s not prolly make the same shit at home for $50 , small vacuum pump, container and heat plate basicallyI go right to Highpoint........no, I don't. ;)
I wonder if that turbo thing is worth 1/4 of what they're charging. It's the "vacuum" part of it, I don't know what that costs. I'd like to try a tincture made from it....

Greek.......... its all a foreign language Dabs, Diamonds , Resins I've never even seen the likes or anyone that's done it either....a whole different generation....Turbo source same process just a little more pricey at $600 I use ethanol and reclaim I too soak longer than normal for a more rso feel when smoked gives you more of a complete high rather than a blasted dab that only full of thc .
Yeah I see. Smoking essentially is decarbing.....I probably don't get the evaporation temp up high enough for decarbing so I still decarb to start. I have no idea what my method is called so it's just tincture. I combine different methods and won't necessarily do it the same way every time. Besides, one good batch with like 10oz of alcohol would probably last me 3 years of I didn't share it. Tincture seems to have a different feel than brownies, or gummies. fk I just went all out on a Vape....meh...ya it keep ash off my keyboard but I still need a smoke through the day.............I'm thinking this high THC stuff would blow up whats left of the old grey matter.............I forget shit so quick now....na...have atter boys.........&.................... oh shit now I run into problems....
I have this fear of making an insensitive remark be excluding others....if I say others that's another bunch I can upset....how do I get out of this?.......is it girls these days....oh fk I've done it now

Lots of people can be too sensitive, but then you can get overly sensitive about people being too sensitive. Then there's the added issues with online/written words......sometimes someone doesn't pick up on things like sarcasm or humor......seems best to just be yourself and also let other people be themselves. :)Greek.......... its all a foreign language Dabs, Diamonds , Resins I've never even seen the likes or anyone that's done it either....a whole different generation....

I have never had a tincture, how does the feel differentiate from infused edibles? I know it's subjective but would like to hear your opinion from someone who knows from experience...Tincture seems to have a different feel than brownies, or gummies. There's so many different ways....
Im just coming off a 30 year tolerance break . I cant imagine all this but have made some crude hash. For now my nickname is 1 toke Dave. That is all it takes for a 3 hour high.Greek.......... its all a foreign language Dabs, Diamonds , Resins I've never even seen the likes or anyone that's done it either....a whole different generation....
