Is she going to die?

I just transplanted her into a 3 gallon grow bag. First grow. I watered her yesterday. Today I carefully took a butter knife around the edges of the old pot and went to transplant her and there were some roots in the bottom after I pulled her out… I’m worried it’s gonna stress her out too much and she won’t recover? Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so, what steps should I take to make sure she doesn’t die?

She'll most likely be fine. There might be some transplant shock, which is common and usually not threatening to the plant. Sometimes leaves droop slightly. Be careful not to overwater. Sometimes reducing the light intensity for a day or two can help.

Shell be fine, dont water again until the soil is dry
Alright sounds good. On average, how long have you seen it take for them to recover? Also, once she does recover, you think I’m okay to start some LST?

I dont usually have transplant shock, but when i did it was just a couple days.

What are your day and night temps?

Growth has stunted in terms of vertical growth. Its growing little leaves on the branches but not verically. The growth is where I’ll be able to determine sex. Is this normal before growing vertically everytime?

Life finds a way, in future let the dirt dry before transplanting.

Unless you’re intending on doing a bare root transplant - what’s your reasoning? Keeping the soil moist helps prevent shock and keeps the rootball largely undisturbed.

The next time you transplant try and wait until the soil is dry. When the soil dries it shrinks and pulls away from the pot walls making it easier to slide the plant and soil out without it breaking apart in your hands.

When I water the transplant in to its new home I give it some Hormex to lessen the shock and speed recovery. Hormex is basically a B vitamin supplement so it doesn't have to be Hormex. It can be Superthrive or whatever you can get your hands on. You'll know when the plant has recovered or is well on its way by how much water it is drinking and how fast.

At the stage of growth your plant is at I would take GS's advice and try and raise the temp to around 77* - 78*. Even 80* is ok but try not to go any higher. Early veg likes high temps and humidity. You'll want to keep your humidity levels at around 80% - 85% at this stage. Once she's got a little size on her you can keep it at the same temp but lower your humidity slightly to around 75%.

This chart should give you an idea of where you want your temp and humidity to be at any given growth stage.

Thank you very much. I am trying to get temps up with my space heater but I think I’m going to need to buy a new one. This one has a thermostat in it and you set it to the target temp but the temp doesn’t fluctuate enough to turn the heater on to keep temps consistent. My humidifier works perfectly fine though. I went with a passive intake setup.

Passive intake as in no intake fan?

Set your thermostat a couple of degrees higher so that when it shuts off it'll cool back to where you want it.

Yes it’s just pulling cool air from the vent port on the bottom of the tent from the lung room. Okay I’ll set it a few degrees higher. I’m gonna take a picture of the tips of the leaves for your opinion. They’re starting to get a tan/yellow color on the very end of the tip

Ok...Gotcha! That should be fine.

What size tent and fan? You want a minimum of one air exchange every 3 minutes. If you can do more exchanges even better.
