Good day, Nice plants with nice thick wide leaves, You gonna flip them soon?

I was flipping through a few photo's, Have you ever been to Mexico? I've been a bunch of times visiting the Mayan ruins throughout the Yucatan Peninsula. I found this place on the beach a few years back now about $100Usa/night breakfast included. right on the beach 20ft from the sea for a morning dip.....just longing for some heat again...a couple pics. I can't help myself, it's been too cold for too long

I have. Cancun. My hubby is a Cabo fan, for the fishing. I have traveled much and enjoyed life for sure. I ended up finding a place ten hours from me here in the US. It has everything I have always traveled to enjoy. Sparkling blue waters, white sands, palm trees 🙂 Navarre Island in the panhandle of Florida.
I could leave here this morning be there before dark, no flight bs. No crazy political idiots I would have to knock out before flights end and no damn mask pushed on me. Good smoke in tow, it’s a winner winner chicken dinner for me😂
I thought Mexico was beautiful, with what is currently going on there.. I more than likely will never see it again.
I understand that wanting tho.. warm blue waters, sand between your toes.
Hang in there, summers coming!

Was always a dream, long before LAR and all the excavation took place.

The underground chambers, waterways, hidden jade mines. All so cool.

Now with all the changes, tourism, and kidnapping don’t think it’s ever going to happen.

Yes its the palm tree's white sand and sunshine I miss. I spent 2 years in Hawaii in my youth and I long for the warmth and sunshine. I feel just as safe in Mexico as I do anywhere except in my home of course. Shit can happen any place and we've not travelled in volatile cartel country. The peninsula has been fairly safe, except the odd shooting in PDC or Cancun like anywhere there's lots of people

Not saying there is no crime here for sure. I’m saying for weeks now the US media has warned us all against travel there. This is due to human trafficking, cartels, kidnapping and just straight out murder. A lot going on with our border wide open. It’s not just Mexicans that Mexico is currently housing.Hundreds of terrorists from other countries. It’s a different place than the place I went just a few years back. I don’t need that kind of excitement in my life. I just want to sit on the beach alone, a good smoke and watch the sunset 🙂

Oh I hear you my last trip down was about 10 years ago,how time flies We won't be going there again any time soon, I 'd still fly into Cancun though, rent a car and drive south if circumstances changed ....

I can use trips as a reboot, if / when tragedy has happened or something my brain can't handle, getting out of town afterwards has been my go to. Being retired and having 3 cats and my grow going its tough to get away now......I saw the pics this am and I got the get me out of here feeling all over again.

Yeah I definitely did not know they were so adept at climbing trees nor that they could run so fast until I saw that fat bastard do it. I followed him into the woods to get documentation lol. That is a really old pic, that's why it looks so shitty... pretty sure I took it with a flip phone lol.

I don't think I'd take a free trip to Mexico these days... though I think it's mostly the border towns that are really bad, and Mexico is a huge country, there must be safe places. We are so due for a vacation. Almost 7 years of shit and stress since my hubs got hurt and lost his job and the spiral that followed... Almost out the other side now and a trip to reset is something we NEED. We Were considering an all inclusive somewhere, but instead might explore the US for possible places to move someday. We've been to Jamaica twice and I'd love to go back there as well, but also want to see somewhere new. If we can swing it, a trip to Europe would be a dream come true... I need to see the Mediterranean before I die dammit.

Even at the cottage as a kid I can’t just sun bath. Don’t get it. Boring. Need to explore and find things.

Nature trails, ruins, secrets. That’s a vacation. At least I can get into fishing with the resorts.

Bermuda? a week there is fun, we found a basement suit for a week at a good price,...swim in Bermuda triangle or rent a boat and go out to snorkel around some sunken vesicles , pink sand beaches, drive on the other side of the road on a scooter......lots of fun for a week

Tried it once in my 20’s. Bahamas. Princess island I think it was called? Hotel had to chase kids, other kids, off the beach each morning.

First time I gambled. 21. Lost.

The bridge to the main island cost a $ or more just to walk across. But I liked to explore. Didn’t know it was dangerous until later. I was about 25, 210lbs, and 6’6” blond skinny guy. Bulletproof back then.

I was amazed how one road/highway divides the poor side and better off side. Like the dark side of the moon noticeable.

I did eat Konc(?) the entire time not knowing what it was as everyone battered it. Then last night had it in a Konc steak. Little hot peppers and herbs ground in.

That’s when I put 2 + 2 together. Konc as in Konc shell as in big freaking snail! 😱.

But it was so good I kept eating and now eat snails at home. 😀

Bermuda? its just one small horseshoe shaped Island about 1000 miles off the Carolina's No poor section and no bridge I can recall. Are you thinking Barbados, Barbuda?
