Yeah I'm thinking some sort of door alarm with an annoyingly loud alarm that goes off once the gate is opened and doesn't turn off until it's closed.... If that doesn't work I'll lock the mf'er and they can park outside the fence and climb over. I mean in Colorado the law is if your property is fenced off and the gate is latched (not just closed but must be latched or locked) then not even COPS can come onto your property without warrant. Opening a latched gate in Colorado without permission is immediately a trespassing charge. THAT is why I want my shit fucking CLOSED at ALL TIMES..

Not a big ask. I just really enjoy my privacy.

Yeah I'm not that much of a dick anymore unless I'm pushed into it. And it really takes a lot to piss me off to that point.. Idk I just needed to vent about it a little bit and make sure I'm not just crazy. But yeah like, I literally only ask that they keep the gate closed, and to not bring anybody on to my property unless they're getting picked up.. For the most part they're pretty respectful about everything else. They've done some good work cleaning up around the property and what not. They don't cause any extra work for me (aside from having to walk out to the gate to close it when they leave it open) and they don't cost me anything, so for the most part they're alright.

Oh, I get it man, I’m just one of them cats, if I open up my home to you, it’s never loaded, but there is an expectation of common courtesy and simple respect. If you need to ask twice, fucking a. Three times? I’m swinging your door open and laughing.

You were in the Navy correct? I remember people leaving their property unlocked on ship in the Marines. Their nco’s came and destroyed all their belongings for leaving it unsecure. I’m the same way today after those years in the military. I stress about leaving something unlocked still today.

Army, actually... But yeah we had the same policy. They taught us that in basic training for chrissake.. The drill sergeants would fuckin trash wall lockers whenever they found them unsecured (and they checked every time we left)... we'd come back from chow and somebody's underwear would be strewn across the threshold of the doorway.

When I got to my unit it got real, though. People will never cease to amaze me. You would not believe how much shit got stolen when we were out in the field. By fellow soldiers.. "battle buddies" that were supposed to have your back... Stealin' your fuckin 500 dollar helmet or your 2,000 dollar IBA.. Fuckin bullshit bro.

IMO stealing a fellow soldier's protective gear should be automatic attempted murder. Fuck the bullshit.

That figures.. I live in the middle of nowhere and have an amazing view of the night sky.. But tonight is the 1 night of the year we're actually getting precipitation

And I just got a new telescope, too! Damn it. Lol
