They did this

to one of my squash plants so I got a few back ups and placed one here

to remind to replace it and they ate the leaves off it.

Now what, get the .22 out and have the neighbors call the cops? Yeah, not with 40 plants.

Gonna try framing the area with rags dipped in vinegar. Keeps the rats out but we'll see if it helps with squirrels. MFing politicians!
Fill a trash can half way with water, throw bird seed in it and check daily, everything on four legs that’ll eat bird seed will crawl in and drown.

And that’s why I spend so much time in my garden, and buy locally produced milk (home delivered still) and buy all out meats from local ranchers who butcher and package themselves, any produce we don’t grow I get up the street at our local farmers market, make our own bread and pizza, sub rolls, cookies and cakes, everything only thing I’ll buy at a actual store is a few condiments, some dog food etc, there an app called YUKA scan your food withit, it’ll change your eating habits!

Here’s an example of wahtbit does

REESES CEREAL..

Keep feedin this shit to our kids and they’ll be brain dead by the time there 30 this shit wasent in our food 15 years ago

Any commercially produced brand is in the database for the app, this is the light stuff, I’ve seen stuff labeled as a preservative that came up as an industrial floor cleaner, it’s fuckin insane

We don’t look at anything besides the additives that are listed as hazardous, could care less about the fat sodium sugar all that shit it’s only the chemicals we avoid if it’s bad
Excellent example Mikedin, the younger kids are looking older now. I think this has a lot to do with it, so many chemicals and drugs...

I too am environmentalist, I don't want to destroy species or poison the air, water or ground. I use baits responsibility and never indiscriminately. I try to avoid harming any untargeted animals. Squirrels are not in danger and are a pest causing damage. If you allow poison for rodents, mice/rats but not for squirrels explain the logic. Unfortunately there is no logic other than squirrels look so cute.

You see what you wanna do is get yerself a fresh litter of bobcats. You gotta raise em as kittens and let em worry about anything that moves in your yard. Feed em live mice as kittens, graduate them to chipmunk, then squirrels, hell they’ll keep them pesky Jehovah whitenesses off the lawn too. Or a jack Russell would do 🤣🤣🤣🤣

If anyone is looking for a relatively low cost pest option, less than $200 at Walmart.

The scope that comes with it is absolute dogshit. I slapped a low end leupold on mine.

I’ve harvested more than few rabbits with it ✌️

I got mine off the Website I mentioned for like $160 including the scope, nice gun scope sights decent for the price, could throw my halo on it for fun but 🤣

Killing a living being is easy from a distance, especially with poison but up close and personal without any danger is a different story. I've used a shovel on a gopher taking its head off. I've drowned gophers holding them under water.

I recall the fist bird I shot as a kid. The pellet took a bit of its shoulder off, couldn't fly and landed in the neighbors yard. Another sparrow kept flying down to it, must have been its mate. Found the remnants a few days later. A cat must have finished it off. Good memory to remind me never to kill without a cause!

I've taken that lesson to heart, it's become a part of me and who I am. I can and will kill when warranted but would much rather avoid it.

Killing squirrels in a cage would be difficult if thought about and I would not welcome doing so and the reason I avoided buying one of these years ago😉

Sometimes I can be gooey inside🤣
I recommend the bucket trick, but last year I happened to walk by while a chipmunk was in it and I couldn’t let him drown. I released him and he ran off all soaking wet and miserable, but also appreciated the release. Well I backed in the driveway Wednesday evening and noticed a chipmunk across the street on the neighbors fence looking at me get out of the truck. The thing ran across the street and up a tree right next to me and sat there eye level about eight feet away looking at me. I think it was the one I rescued. Lil dude was saying hello. Yeah taking a life is not a small matter, and if necessary it should be as quick and painless as possible. I would wait until the Fourth of July and make a bait pile, buy subsonic 22 rounds and shoot while your neighbors are lighting fireworks or firecrackers. Or drop $$&& on those 1200 fps pellet guns with a scope

I have a kitten coming from a farm soon, getting 4 to 6 weeks of time and then sent our way. The cat will have a field day

For us they go in the walls and chew the wires along with mice, shrews etc... gotta always be vigilant. I release the ones I catch far far away but indoors I have an electronic trap that kills instantly it zaps them. No suffering and easy clean up. Only needs a tiny bit of bait and 2 AA batteries.

Was messin with my wife, her birthday present is 2 new color Stanley’s, Hey I smoke and grow, she collects the Latest cups with the kids 🤣

The money involved…. I could have 3 more setups easily… you guys guess how many full 4x4’s could I run with this many cups 🤣🤣 oh by the way there’s also 3 more in the car (one travel for each) and one next the each ones nightstand (mine included) plus I have 2 at work 🤣

I use to kill everything when I was young. Now I look back at it and think what a horrible person I was. I cant kill anything anymore, just dont have it in me. When I get a pesky squirrel or raccoon tearing my shit up, I'll trap it and drive it 10 miles down the road and let it go. Go dig in someone elses garden fucker.. Its illegal to do so here, but fuck it, I got a clean conscious now..
Had a flying squirrel infestation in a place that I rented, relocated 6 of em twenty two times in a week. Wasn’t driving far enough due to blizzard like conditions all week. They were definitely coming back. Cute fuckers, balls of steel compared to mice they’d come right out in front of people sometimes. Our cat got into it with one and woke up the entire house, a few months later she got one and left it on the floor in front of the toilet. That cat was insane 🤣🤣🤣RIP MEEP, and the flying squirrel.

The vast majority of the "food" on the shelves at the market are slowly poisoning us. No one can make an argument against this FACT yet nothing is being done to change it. Grow as much of your own produce as possible and if you have a local butcher shop buy from them and stay away from the grocery stores. The meat looks different.

Yeah and the company that made the Teflon in your pan has been knowingly poisoning people around the world since they first found out in the 1960’s. Paid out millions in lawsuits starting in 2015?? Still making billions on Teflon annual to this day.

I had the word C O V I D get changed to flu in my post on my dairy thread. And I had read of a couple others here also.
We all have to acknowledge and change the fact that over the past four years society has been bowing to and catering to, and placating to the most sensitive , easily offended, weakest group of cry babies in the history of humanity. They’re setting the bar so low that it’s more like a trip wire to the rest of us who don’t offend easily or cry every time we don’t get our way. It’s insulting to be subjected to this level of stupidity and hypocrisy constantly. I dont enjoy being around people like I use to. I feel like I’m one off color remark away from societal exclusion. Shouldn't have to be censored or self censored.
