Asheville,.. i remember while being on the grateful dead europe tour 1990 in england oct 30,31.. my girlfriend was being interviewed for a dead documentary so i went out cruising around and i met this gorgeous hippie girl from Asheville ,.. (my girl was also gorgeous) we hung out for up to 2 hours and i stayed true to my girl as this other girl and i went for a walk to an alone spot and layed out a blanket to smoke a couple and,….. well didn’t miss any of the show and girlfriend probably thought i was out searching for hashish as i was doing that also,..
anyhoo still have the faintest memory of how she looked and comes to mind the odd time still since 1990,..
Asheville was pretty damn cool in the 90's. I landed there in '94..

Battening down the hatches. Looks like it's gonna be a gnarly one.

There's something supremely majestic about vegging cannabis plants blowing around in the wind though.

So yeah I'll definitely be getting the side trellises up this weekend lmao.

Nice dude, you're gonna get some rain!!?? I guess I'm like 60 miles south east of you and I've seen maybe an eighth of an inch of rain at the most in the last 3-4 weeks. Killin' me..

Good thing I have a few ultra massive rain storage tanks..

yea. its been super rough here too. But at least the drier then normal air has been helping my plants take the heat. assuming i keep em good and moist down below anyway.

I got a 3 gallon sprayer, one of those pump up ones. Saves me from having to use a reg spray bottle and I've got a dozen of those. Might be time to invest on one. They're pretty cheap😉

I see Amazon has a 1 gal for $15.

We have way too many plants to be spraying with quart spray bottles.
What are you gonna use the sprayer for? I buy "Solo" sprayers myself. I recommend getting one that's a bit bigger than you think you need..

I bought some lesser named brand sprayers off amazon a couple years ago. Got a season out of them before they stopped working! Just got another 1gal this season “Chapin” (only 20 bucks) one of these days ill get the “solo’s” : )

Have been kicking myself the last few years for not pulling the trigger on a catchment system! We have been great late season rains that would be great for spring waterings and possibly last into the summer!

Solo isnt really much better probably but their spare parts are affordable enough and readily available. I've never had to fully replace a whole sprayer, just a particular piece once a year or so.

I remember laying in my tent on night watches with the wind blowing! I would torch the garden every 15 minutes or so and the plants would just be folded over the the ground! Hahaha! This garden was located within some gnarly drainages, one year the wind blew for 38 days straight! I’ll never forget the instant it stopped! It was quiet and calm, I was walking back to my spot and it just stopped! Super cool!

Heard!

Yeah I looked into fixing them and it just wasn’t economical : ) if you can get the parts for cheaper and its not tearing the whole damn thing apart every year to fix you got a good thing going😄 I really want a electric backpack sprayer! I could use the shit out of that on the veggie gardens and yard!

They’re not very comfortable. I borrowed a friend’s super expensive one and learned that I personally much prefer to lug a 3 gallon one around.

I had to get one to spray my entire property with castor oil to try and get rid of moles. The backpack that comes with the sprayers are trash. I had to make my own with an old fishing backpack I had. Now, I love it. May look into creating your own "backpack" that the base can fit into, if you like the concept. It is nice to basically be hands free.

both of my hands are sore as hell today.

I think ima invest in a new pump sprayer. The seals went on mine this spring and its super old anyway. 10+ leviathans is a bit much for a 32oz squeeze trigger bottle. Im a lifelong guitar player, and my hands are still dead today. If i clench a fist hurts all the way up to the elbows 🤣 🤣 🤣

Probably went for over an hour constant spraying switching from left to right to make sure i got everything,
Used to use it as a concrete sealer sprayer after 30 clean outs I now only use it for watering or spraying fruit trees

3.5 gallons about 6-7 pumps will allow you to use about half at a time, pricey but way better than my cheapo $$30-$40 plastic sprayers I’ve tried in the past

All steel and brass minus the hardened plastic handle and hose
