Reminds me of thorn apple or devil's trumpet we have around here. Supposedly way back when witches would crush up the seeds and rub them on their vaginas to feel like they're flying.

They were always in fields surrounding the house when I was growing up but I was too afraid to try it. Plus I don't have a vagina so wouldn't know what to do.

well… my press money went to buying another barrel of pig feed! those fuckers knocked over their feeder into mud! 🤬 so hopefully soon ill be getting the press plates and controller… press some flower… smoke some rosin, THEN EAT SOME FUCKING BACON! LOL!😂

The one that I have is kinda homemade, the press is basically a bottle jack rated for 10,000 lbs, set up on a frame built out of angle iron and a control box with two removable aluminum heat plates. If you want to literally open the box and start pressing Id recommend something like your looking at already like a nug smasher.

I’ve only pressed flower and a little keef mixed in. I don’t use bags, just a folded pocket and larger catch pieces of dulytek parchment paper

Did some more defoliating. Still debating on super cropping the taller ones in the middle or just letting it be. Scrogging looks kind of bad this time but at least everything is exposed to light so hopefully the buds will be solid. Need to put up the second net before they get sticky.

I made bubble hash once. I think we just smoked it wet and didn’t really try (more of just a “hey lets make some hash” type of thing)

Im going to try my hand at flower! If I can trim enough to get kief and trim I would press all that also!

If I knew I could grow 10lbs out of my shed every few months id be making hash and pressing that as its the best return vs material.

As far as hash being more potent from being pressed I dont know if thats the case or not.

What is rosin made from?​

Rosin can be made out of a variety of types of cannabis, including:

  • Nugs or flower
  • Trim
  • Kief
  • Hash
The higher the quality of the input material, the higher the quality of the rosin. People who consume rosin are usually looking for flavor in their dabs and will often use flower or nugs to press it, which is the highest quality starting material.


Rosin can also be made from trim, kief, or hash, and is great to make if you have a surplus of any of those. Pressing trim, kief, or hash into rosin will refine them, although the final product won’t be as high of a quality as starting with flower or nugs.

Is rosin full-spectrum?​

Many cannabis extractions are further refined to remove other compounds, but rosin is a full-spectrum extract, containing the cannabinoid and terpene profile of the original plant.

Types of rosin​

Different types of rosin include:

  • Flower rosin—uses dried nugs, mids, shake or trim; most common source material for rosin, and more flavorful than hash rosin
  • Live rosin—uses frozen weed plants; more flavorful than other rosins as using frozen plants preserves terpenes and flavors
  • Hash rosin—uses bubble hash or dry sift hash; generally harsher than flower rosin as hash is harsher, and can be more potent depending on the hash used

do not super crop in flower, thats one of the ways i guaranteed some female pollen without using silver lol. A main branch break right at the end of the flowering stretch.

Once your on into the stretch do not stem break, you will likely regret it.

Their pith in the stems stems also stiffens and go more brittle in flower. Imho you def dont need to super crop any of those, itll diminish your end result at this point not improve it.

even if those tall colas start to light burn a bit on the fan tips just leave em be imo, its worth the rest of your canopy being in the sweet spot end yield wise. I can promise that with absolute certainty. Chances are even in that event the only thing that will suffer tissue damage are the leaf tips and margins, and the colas affected by slight burn are usually higher in resin content then the rest anyway even if terps suffer a little on those particular bud sites

Once the other net goes up I'll be able to lean the taller ones to the sides a bit to take off a little height. They've been around 8 inches from the light and aren't showing signs of burn after flip so I'll just leave it alone. I think the left plant was getting a little light stress in veg and it doesn't seem to care in flower being even closer.
