I think I see what happened. When I opened the new account it asked how much I want to open with. Then I verified the original account over the next couple days and saw a zero balance on the new, so I transferred the same amount again.

I'm not ready for this shit today.

So I transferred money from an online savings account to another that had a better deal and somehow the transfer went through more than once. Now I got hit with an insufficient funds fee from one bank and have $50k in another that isn't all mine. lol

I wonder what the first bank will do if I just don't pay the insufficient funds fee. It now has a negative balance and I don't plan on using it again.

Well I parked myself outside last night to watch the SpaceX launch out of Vandenberg, hoping to cap some footage. I loaded several bong hits while I was waiting so I could at least FEEL like an astronaut.

I started thinking they were taking too long, did I miss it? Then I looked up and saw the brilliant white directly overhead. It looked like it was going straight up instead of flying into the Southern skies like they normally launch them.

While I was watching the rocket, I noticed an orange flare off in the horizon. Fuck me... I wasn't watching the rocket, I was staring at Venus!!!! In my defense I was pretty stoned, and there were a few fast moving clouds that created the optical illusion of Venus hauling ass up in the sky.

Last night's launch wasn't that impressive. It stayed orange the whole time instead of the brilliant white I'm more familiar with. Not sure if a different fuel mix, the atmospheric conditions or what. I did get to see the swirl when the booster separated.

In any event, here is some footage I took of a different launch from June of last year. This is what the launches look like from Ventura County. One of these days I'll take a ride up to Surf Beach and observe one up close.

Kinda throws me off where I am as to the trajectory. We are further West here in Ventura County than the rest of So Cal and they usually go southeast which you think would be over land but it more or less stays over the ocean the whole time.
