Here's a few of mine from last summer. I needed shade for myself and my plants. I had some fella build me a awnning that's 14x14 ft. It's got polycarbonate shaded panels on the top. Yes sir it got hot for way too long last summer here in Oregon also.
Very cool!!! Yeah, I gotta build a moveable awning/shader for my plants this year

Some of my plants got sunburnt during last years heat wave. I’m so excited for this season! Can’t come soon enough
The sun was something last year. Every plant I had growing suffered. The roses got the worst of it.

How goes, y’all?

Just counting the days till the beginning of April and I can pop my beans. I’ve decided to go with: gods green crack and gods slurricane from JOTI, blueberry badazz OG from crop king seeds and a promising looking Frostberry from lucky 13 seeds. You folks should DEFINITELY look into the Frostberry. Finishes in late August to early September and it’s not an auto. Super pumped

One of my girls last year

Welcome from New Yawk! 2925, growing some plants from locally sourced seeds. The same guy has been growing them around here for 20+years. Also Dutch Passion Mazar and white widow, all fan favorites.ill start other stuff for other growers, see what they are looking for first.

I won’t be growing outdoor this year. I have my sons graduation party this June so it will be strictly veggies in our garden.
I didn’t get mine outside into their final pots until June 28 last year! Over three weeks late! Couldn’t tell the difference in yield from the on-time years! In Cali, they seem to make up for lost time during July, and August! Just two cents!

Start a thread when you decide to hammer down, Rage! Would be an interesting follow!😁🐒
I wish somebody on the site would tell me how to start a thread. I can't find a single button anywhere to post anything.

When I sign in there is a title line at the top of the page (eg. New Posts). On the right hand side of the title there is a green button for a new post.

If you haven't been around long enough it won't be available until a certain time period passes. A robot scam security that works.

I grew Frostberry one year and it was finished at the end of July (I could have left if longer though). I gives a good early crop. The plant was only about 4 feet round. One grew white and a second one grew purple even without cold nights.

What’s everyone’s outdoor plans this year ?
I'm still pondering. I haven't grown outside since 2019. We had a good crop from 14 bag seed plants that year. We moved the following year. The new place isn't as good for growing. Too many ravenous deer. I see bear signs, but no sightings yet. Anything grown outside must be protected from the wildlife and the intense late-summer sun. I've been trying to get a hazelnut tree going for years. It has burned from the sun every year but keeps coming back. I'm boosting its nutrients and using a sunshade, so hopefully it will get big enough and strong enough to survive on its own.

As for cannabis, we have a small balcony that's large enough to grow two or three plants. I have three raspberry pots on it now. They grow tall enough to hide the cannabis from view. I haven't decided what to grow, but at least one will be an auto. I have some CBD Kush auto seeds I'd like to try. Mostly, I'm curious to see how autos grow here. We also have some Green Gelato seeds, and we love that strain. For a photo, I'd grow Bubblegum, if I decided today.

All three tents are in the flowering stage, so we'll soon be starting new plants in the tents. I have two Zkittles clones rooting now. My wife has a request in for White Widow, so we'll grow two of those. That doesn't leave much space for anything else. We probably will not grow in the tents during the late summer, so we have time for one more inside crop. We'll start again in the fall.

I have so many seeds! It's so hard to choose! I do believe I will not live long enough to grow every seed I have. It's such a dilemma! 😉

I would love to, but I'm always fighting PM and bud rot later in the season as we get more rain. Now, if I get my greenhouse built soon then it's game on. Does that count as outdoors? 😀 Or nah?

It does where I’m at! All outdoors Cultivation for bidden! And then, right after that, greenhouses are considered outdoors! They make it pretty plain!😂😂

Every time I go to Costco this time of year, I lust over the small greenhouses they sell. One of these days...
Man you and me both. My old and i mean old hippie greenhouse is no longer waterproof. The frame is in good shape but i can't replace the covering for it they want me to purchase a whole new setup no replacement cover. This cover lasted a good 6yrs before rot, wind and snow took it's toll. A sturdy solid greenhouse has always been my dream.

This thought has kept me up some nights! What really makes me sad is thinking that some truly amazing 1/1 lies hidden in there and we may never know.
Yep. I'm looking for the most mold resistant, short season, pest resistant, huge producer indica leaning plants.
Keep trying, we'll find 'em eventually. 😉

Been a minute, all. Got my girls outside here in Saskatchewan. Windy as hell lately but the girls are loving the seaweed and the fish fertilizer so far. Started these indoors around April 16th, just put em out the other day. How’s you all grinding?

I just got one of those 4 rack mini greenhouse things. You put LED lights underneath each shelf or something

I’ll use it to start my seedlings and clones. Selling seedlings and clones is a business all on its own here in the prairies
