quit my job today, going to work for the municipal utilities (Stadtwerke, it's translated literally into 'city works') on 01. september. it's not as much money, but not such a hustle and i get to have far more spare time on my hands, so i got that going for me, which is nice.

going to kiss the family, gf and homes goodbye and off to naples i fuck.

Problem is italy is still not legal, but they are cool. Got to fly under the radar again.

While the world burns it's 3:30 AM and I've placed an Amazon order, made a cup of coffee, rolled one up

and am sitting on the patio puffing away enjoying a beautiful sunny so cal morning at 67F. THIS is what I'd miss most if I ever moved away from here. The greenhouse lights come on at 5:20 and I've got some up potting to do.

I've been swearing I'm gonna update my grow blogs this week and every time I think about it my phone battery is about dead so I'm gonna take a walk up with a flashlight, or torch for you in the home countey

To her left is #1, they were both flipped July 1

Poor thing was so top heavy she fell over twice before I turned her around, leaning her against the house and added blocks around the pot. So while this #1 certainly doesn’t look like a #1 and it may not produce as much as any of the other top 4 she was the biggest and fasted growing of them all and I've got about a dozen rooted cuts that will not be allowed to grow this long and get so big they fall over but they will produce a lot of good smoke

She's about 5.5' tall and bigger around. She was in a 2 gallon pot at flip June 1 so I gave her a 4 gal nursery pot 2 weeks ago and there hasn't been an issue since.

Also flipped June 1 and got a 4 gal upgrade 2 weeks ago as well. Not quite as big as #3 but not by much. #5 & 6 should be ready for jarring as they came down June 30. I'll have to check as I'd really like to start smoking it soon.

Mystery seed

Mainly shady here under the Loquat tree. I did place a BBHP here that was germinated by a male GDP last fall to mature and possibly that's what this is. Doesn't matter, I always get sentimental when a seed fights for life on their own. They never get very large and once established and I see them I'll start watering. Got a soft spot for these suckers that will never produce much

My custom lid design for both Liquid Culture and Grain Spawn.

Some strains of Psilocybe cubensis, such as Penis Envy and its offshoots like Melmac, tend to benefit from a higher gas exchange rate, which is essential due to their dense fruiting structure and slower colonization speed. Using Luer Lock syringe filters on grow containers can help provide better CO₂ and O₂ exchange than traditional polyfill or micropore tape. For added contamination resistance, the filters can be double-stacked, though this slightly reduces airflow

The primary reason for stacking two filters is to increase protection against contaminants—especially in high-risk environments (dog hair, dust, moldy grow rooms, etc.). One 0.22 µm filter is usually sufficient, but if you're working in less-than-perfect sterile conditions, stacking two can give an extra layer of security.

Instead of gluing the Luer Lock PES Membrane filter to the lid (as is standard), I made it removable by cutting the end of a a syringe cap off and gluing it into the lid instead.

Doing this allows me to easily change the filter, or remove it for shaking grain or LC, without getting the filter wet (a no no!). It also gives me a good port to pull LC samples from.

The blue and orange thingy is Self Healing Injection Port, good for 50 sticks w/ an 18g needle

The filters come sterile, but can also be pressure cooked with a loose foil covering.

I still cry when I think about it too much.

And what stage your growth is your plant in? Is it flowering and can I have a picture of your entire plant because that would definitely help me diagnose your issue but that being said I have a pretty good idea what’s going on? I just wanna be sure pics, bro

If you want to get nuts just poly tape the syringe in place and stuff the tube minus plunger with activated charcoal mesh. Poly tape is fine, there are times when numbers are just advertising and you're min-maxing for things that don't exist. Take that $ and get one large fish tank and one only a little smaller, then a nice fish tank heater in water between them. Inside that is guaranteed 90% humidity and perfect temps. This is great for fruiting and spawn. Make a tank for each. I can't stress how good rock solid temp is for fungus.

I wanna go to Sicily but I’m watching closely on the laws they looks to be moving in the right direction, wife Wants to move there, I have family history now for both of my mothers grandparents coming over from there and a ton of other cool shit, so if they went legal I’d move probably

Working to find the info for my dads grandparents before they came over, it was all since 1900 so we’ll see what I can find
