Got some stuff done around the grow room Saturday night. Cleaned up the 2x2.
Took the Lazy lightning’s out of the 3x3 and did a defoliation and then threw them into the 2x2 . I got a happy lil couple and figured it would be best to make some babies. Definitely got a male and female going right now. I just hope the big stud doesn’t drop his load before she’s got those lil pistols open. He’s definitely further along then she is.
Anyone here know how long a male plant produces viable pollen?
Besides that I harvested all the tops from the Mexican x Columbian landrace’s and got em hanging in the closet. I plan to see if any of the lowers fatten up over the next week, it i don’t see any progress then I’ll chop them completely. They were such long and lanky girls that I don’t wanna try to reveg might try to take a few cuttings and see what happens, otherwise I’ll be shutting down the 3x3 until September or October.
Ohh and I trimmed my Kahuna, and Tropicana cookies x Okie, and did a quick trim on the (M86xKG86) aka Bob Barker.
I can already tell that the BB is gonna be my favorite. (ANYONE ELSE GET ANY OF THOSE BEANS OFF @Captspaulding ?) I highly recommend dropping a few in the dirt. Very special genetics involved in that strain two Hawaiian landrace strains from almost forty years ago crossed together. Maui Wowie and Kona Gold.

I searched for twenty minutes for a clip from the episode where he’s in a shootout with gangsters on a pot farm but couldn’t find anything for free. I think the episode is called by it’s cover. But yeah they’re driving around on these trails trying to get away from the bad guys and then they’re run into the locals growing the weed and they let Magnum and his lady friend go and then mess with the bad guys. I think it was legit real plants in the scene too. I love that show.

I figured out what's wrong with my plants this run @Captspaulding my pH meter is a full point or more off so when it was reading 6.5 I was actually feeding 5.3-5.5 checked with the lil drops

It always trips me out how two phenos of the same strain can be so different #1 pine and haze #2 is like fruity and straight cheese on the back

#2 will finish way before 1 and has wayyy denser bud structure. About half way through week 7 now

Please share your knowledge. You are saying you whiped it to much, what else do you believe you did wrong. I have 4 gallon bags of sugar and small buds that I wanted to make bubble hash with. Did you use the 5 gallon bucket with water and ice?

Please share your knowledge. You are saying you whiped it to much, what else do you believe you did wrong. I have 4 gallon bags of sugar and small buds that I wanted to make bubble hash with. Did you use the 5 gallon bucket with water and ice?

Yeah with bubble bags. It really matters I think what quality you’re looking for but I used a silicone paint mixer on a drill in a five galllon bucket with the bubble bags. Next time I’ll definitely mix it in a seperate bucket then dump in the bags so the bags aren’t in my way and moving all around while mixing. If you opt to mix by hand you get a better finished product because doing it with the drill knocks off extra plant material that will get in your finished product but since I was doing trim and don’t mind having b quality since I’m going to put copious amounts in joints an shit anyway lol but if I was doing fresh frozen a grade flower and trying to make the best hash I can. I would hand mix it very gently and try to get some full melt type shit lol

Basically just put bags in five gallon buckets. Layered ice frozen trim ice frozen trim etc. covered with cold water in let sit for a few and mixed for ten minutes. Did two washes I got like 8 grams not including the lowest grade that has a lot of plant material I’ll probably use for edibles or maybe throw in the next batch i make or something. The rest imma roll into a temple ball tomorrow and see how fast I can smoke it lol

Pretty easy process. Just next time I’ll set myself up a little better to like clean out the bags and shit. Like have a nice spray bottle to get the hash into a nice pile in the bottom of the bags (you’ll see what I’m saying when you do it) lol it was kinda scary seeing that much bud in ice water haha like shit I hope this works haha

Next time I’ll definitely mix it in a seperate bucket then dump in the bags so the bags aren’t in my way and moving all around while mixing. That is my concern. I don't want to waste all that trim and small buds. I was trimming my buds to aggressively at first, so there are alot of good material. Im gathering info before I attempt it. Thanks for sharing.

What research I've done.....mixing by hand would be my choice. The article I read is to go through all the bags, separating each result separately. It also mentions running it at least twice. By running it a second time you may have recovered more from that first batch that you said had to much weed material.

I read your post, then went to trim hell. As I was trimming up my Big Bud...bud, I was pondering your comment about harvesting the top of your plant, then see if the lowers fatten up. Now, if pruning your plant throughout the grow, it takes 10 to 14 days get over the stress. How would your buds fatten up, I believe cutting her off at the ripples may be stress.... Don't get me wrong I've done the same thing hoping, or just needing a break from what I call trimming hell. Anybody can weigh in on this? Cap?

That’s weird I watched a guy do it last night and he was using a steel mixer on a drill but he said only for like 3 minutes

But then people use those washers (mini washing machines for hash making) and they run those for like 15 minutes and get crystal clear hash…

Hmm we must find the method haha I was just looking online for a mixer to mix with

At minimum use a trim bin if you don’t have one yet, I can get 10-15g of dry sift just trimming over it (I trim a fair amount lol)

I’ve been just dry sifting my sugars and larf and said I gotta be able to recover more than that off it lol, so bubble hash it is, so the intimidates, just grow bigger plants

I’ve seen others do it, diddnt think it made much of a difference, at most I’ve seen some do it to let them just ripen a bit further if the tops were ambered heavy and the lowers were not quite there,

But the plant is kinda past the bulking stage at that point and is pushing for maturity
