Hello dear friends,

I am Alexander Franz from Germany ;)
Quite new to the forum but I will skip my hobbies etc. and go straight to the interesting part of the matter.
This way you can probably get to know me better.

Since April 20, I have been germinating 2 dozen Iraqis from TLT with which I want to start here.
My last completed project is saved: Vietnam 3way (Vietnamese Silver Leaf x Purple Vietnamese) x Black Vietnam F3

For the following project I am starting in collaboration with The Landrace Team,
greetings from the German connection.
PEACE
Monitoring and testing a strain called "Pink Lavender" from Cambodia. It is an important part of the gene database of TLT.
Hybrids are already available if there is interest. I will report here about the pure strain to bring you closer to this fantastic strain and show you something new.. Project is loading:) I love to try something new..

I use organic soil "super soil". For cultivation, I used fluorescent tubes 150 watts and after about a week directly 600 watts metal halide. Today they are 11 days old.

Hello my dearest, thanks for the interest.
I always take the pollen fresh directly from the male, so I save the important males and females alive. Only rarely do I save it (like for example with the resin male "mighty mite" that I once found because it was a automatic). If I do, only as long as it stays fresh in the fridge;
I put it in an airtight container and just add a bit of rice and make sure there are no plant parts in it, then it lasts quite a while, I think 6 weeks or longer.
Drying all the parts well and freezing them also works, in case there is only a little on the plant, like here with a "3way" male that no longer exists ;)

And YES.. they really are very vigorous growers. The dark Indica phenos grow a bit slower, but they are all beautiful to look at, and their color intensity is much darker. Those are the ones I'm going for.
And of course, to be safe, every male will be flowered ;)

Sounds interesting.
I'm testing landraces for my self to see what i like.
Already found one i like. Balkh Afghan.
Looking forward to see how yours turn out.

I think landraces have much better high, that alone is the reason to grow them. Just find a good pheno.. you can have the yield and flowering time of a modern hybrid too;)

True. I already learned that the 2nd landrace grow. Now landrace is my no 1 thing.
2 small plants but gave 210g total. The one with most leafs instead og bigger buds was the best.
Even if the buds had many leafs like hash plant can have , it tasted really good.
I think for me it's a matter of learning the growing pattern first to make them fit my setup.
For example these afghan i got don't stretch so i got to calculate for that.

Seems like everyone is getting into landraces these days. I love it. These are 3 Highland Laos landraces I've got going now and it's definitely been a learning experience. The stretch on these girls is amazing. Put them on 12/12 on 3/30 and they started to stretch immediately but took over 3 weeks to show sex. Transplanted the females last week and the stretch seems to have hit another gear. Except 1 that was kind of a runt that I held off topping but now that one has taken off.

This pic here illustrates a key difference between the landraces and the selectively bred. Landraces tend to be larfy... But by no means less dank. I remember High Times used to occasionally feature landraces from across the world and if they were my plants I'd be embarrassed to show them... but that's what wild cannabis looks like before humans got involved.

Thank you for the lively interest from all of you and thank you for the pictures from Laos, they are more than interesting. I would like to see how the flowers turn out with the stretch.
I love Afghan you can't go wrong with it, dear cpurola. I can specifically recommend varieties from Hindu Kush or South Africa in terms of landraces if it's about resistance, there are also many that finish early.
"Masterkush" was probably my best outdoor strain in 20 years in german weather; in Michigan it will definitely be supernatural :)

The Pearl appearance is, by the way, a mutation ;) And I'm actually most interested in wild cannabis, there are wild strains with plenty of THC. The strain from the team "Pink Lavender" is from Cambodia, so it must also be of wild origin; in Cambodia, the strains actually all grow wild. A few breeders have been working on the genetics for a while to refine them and to reduce the naturally occurring high hermaphrodite rate. I myself will probably still do the "Lolab Valley Kashmir", shes really wild:) and a outdoor tip too.
Have a look for the 18 hour flower trait in middle east and central asia strains for multi harvest and for sure bet;)
