Hello! I'm very new to growing. In the past i've grown a few small plants outside and such in some pots with no real no how of what I was doing. Just water and sunshine. HAHA

Anyways, I'm looking to grow 1-2 plants inside my house.
I do have a budget but i'd like to keep my setup under $250. Any suggestions as to what is NECESSARY right now to grow some decent strains.

Im going to be growing in a closet confined area. Possibly a garage. If the closet...I would like to have a 4x4 box or so. I dont really want to use soil to grow. If I need to then I guess I will. The plant wont get any natural sunlight. What brand lights do you recommend, materials that are common for irrigation, humidity or temperature control?

Ive spent alot of time looking around all these forums and reading book after book but nothing prepared me for when I did my first grow. Start small something you can watch and manage easily. Pick a few basic guidelines to follow and work on perfecting those things before you move on and remember you are growing a weed and its going to grow almost nomatter what. Provide the basics and be patient and have fun.

Passive Hydro

I used to use organics and still do sometimes for taste, but i have switched to a passive hydro setup i got from a fellow grower.Take and get you a 2 gal. plastic bucket, pail, what have you and 2in. from the bottom drill a 1/4 in hole.In another containor mix 3 parts perlite with 1 part vermiculite.Put the mix in your pots.Feed with nutes every 2 to 3 days with plenty of runoff.Do make sure you have something to catch the runoff with.Use excess runoff on house plants or whatever. Its a lot lighter and less exspensive than soil.I do check the PH of water that im using very first off.I try to keep mine around 6.0.Hope this helped a little.Peace,&Happy Growing, Fuzzy:nod
