i was at homedepot today lookin at the foam and sound board they carry but no one was sure if itd do wat im looking to do. im trying to find time to research pump house designs. but building an enclosure builds heat so i like the concept of doing sumthing like an airfilter intake system like u mentioned. ill have to def do sum more research and see what i can find.

A way around the heat is possible. If you do build a box, you can put a small 4" exhaust fan on the box, run the exhaust to your current exhaust system in a T. I also would get the insulated ducting for that exhaust to cut noise and heat offput.
For the sound, get the brown soundboard. I believe it is 3/4 or 1" thick. Double or triple it up. 1 board is around $10 and that would be enough. Also I suggest getting 1.5-2" styrofoam sheet and use that to build your box. Get the metal duct tape and make a box out of that. Then put the Soundboard around that. Probably soundproof then. The heat would be sucked out by the small exhaust fan.
The Styrofoam is pretty strong stuff believe it or not. I helped a buddy build a box like this for the back of his A/C and it has been working for over a year and holding up well. Costs less than $30 to build.
I hope this does help you.

Boom, I'm gonna have the exact same problem in a couple of days when I need to construct a sound deadening enclosure for my new diaphragm pump (from what I understand, they're loud as fuck) - will be interested to see what you come up.

ya idk yet but same to u. keep me posted

good info right there. ya the soundboard i think was 3/4" thick and a 4'x4' sheet. the foam boards do look solid so i dont doubt it.
might have to give this a shot since the price is right. may fans are 10" 1075cfm max fans but im sure i can T-Y it off and pull the air out. ill work on this project soon.

depending how far away the blower is, you could also run one of those flat whisper fans built into the foam so you dont have to lower static fan pressure too bad. they're relatively cheap, 4" will do great. Air intake built into the bottom on the side of the air intake so it gets colder fresh air, exhaust at opposite top so it draws the cool air up and past the blower then out. and your definately going to want to cover those lids. best thing you can do is get the thinner refletix and if the joint in the lid isnt flexing cut a slit at each end of the refletix where the joint is and tape there if that makes sense. you dont wanna even risk thinking about slime, haa. show me somethin beautiful

Sick setup boom! Glad to see you back in action again... The room looks better than ever and I'm diggin' the screens. Hmmm, I might have to ditch the PVC legs on my next run and hang the screen instead... Like you always say "I'll be lurkin'"... :cool

ya im not down for slime and bullshit in my system. gonna hit HD again today and see what i can find. I know exactly wat u mean about cutting a slit to fit the lid covering. thanks bro

haha im always lurkin bro u know this. just had to spend 3-4 months demo and construction lol.
the screens were def an upgrade. i wanted to suspend them so i can use a creeper to roll between the rows of systems. each screen is 4x4 and leaves 1.5' walkway between the screens but on the floor its more like 3ft space once lollipopped i can roll underneath the canopy all day. if sumone were to look in the flower room theyd have no idea i was underneath lol. glad to see u found the journal. hopefully others will catch on and see im bak

i started off with 2x AP100 airpumps for the single 16site system but didnt provide the air flow i wanted. everyone claims theyve got a "jacuzzi" air system but i wanted to see sum ridic airflow. so far i havent found such a reason as "too much air." so i threw in the blower and easily saw twice the difference compared to the airpumps so i returned that shit. keep in mind im running 3/4" pvc manifold and 9" airdisk in EACH bucket. each disk i installed can handle up to 5.0scfm per disk.
i also havent done a cycle with this system so its not proven either. but stick around for a few weeks and we will def have sum results shortly

wrapped up

Went ahead and wrapped the top 1/3 of the buckets to fully insulate the buckets and prevent light leaks. I used mylar to cover the lids. did a light test today and it holds up tight. wrapped the cooling coils hardline to maintain low temps. Wrapped the chiller rez.
havent had the chance to build the pump house yet. still wiring everything now that we got the inspection approved for the 200amp 3phase panel we installed. hoping to have the shop completely lit up this weekend and transplant the seedlings into the buckets.

I FIMd the seedlings and LST to promote auxin shift for multiple tops to be scrogged.
Trimming the roots to promote horizontal root growth.

prevegging in the ezcloner for now.

Looks like you're gettin it all dialed in there man! I'm along for the ride on this one for sure.

This is the second time this week I have heard of people trimming roots in UC's, I wonder when they are gonna put out a bigger bucket.

Lookin forward to see how the Heavy 16 does in there. I'm hearing more and morea bout those guys lately.

You're gonna kill it!

glad u could make it man. ive only been trimming roots in my ezcloner so far. i havent transplanted into the 13gallon buckets yet.

i got hooked up with heavy16 and direct customer service is nice to have. especially for building a nute lineup. he even offered a custom blend when im ready one day... but in time.

Tying bitches down...

The Power Kush seedlings have really taken off. Roots excel is a great product. I use it in ever run for every stage basically. Im stoked to see Heavy16 come out with their root growth horomone. Should be the same shit for half the cost. Im picking up Heavy16 foliar spray this week from homeboy @ Field16 Ag. I plan to rock it after transplant into the buckets.

LST and supercropping have become almost an everyday thing now. Seeing great results and very short tight internode spacing on more then half the girls. Others seemed to have stretched out more then id like under the T5 but im continuing to tie these bitches down and keep an even canopy and promote several branching. Im still choosing the best pheno to keep as a scion for the next round and on...
I FIMd last week and already have 4 main tops with new lower shoots catching up. Continued to LST diff ways to promote even canopy. Supercropped certain stems to promote auxin shift to lower branches and allow them to catch up with the other tops.
I havent trimmed the roots in a few days. Theyre getting pretty long and ready to be transplanted into the buckets.
