Thanks guys! Ya lol sometimes finding the lineage on strains can be a bit confusing. Here's what I dug up.

Grape Ape ™
(Indica Dominant)

Creator: Apothecary Genetics

Awards: 1st Place - Green Cup - 2005 and 2006
1st Place - Medical Cup - 2006 - Lake County

Genetics: Afghani crossed with Skunk #1

Effect: Strong Indica - Great for body pain - Long lasting medical effect.

Taste/Smell: Similar to a grape flavor.

Flowering indoor: 7-8 weeks, with a yield of 700 to 800 gr/ sqm.
Flowering outdoor: Ready in end of September and Mid of October.

Urkel ay? Nice. Ya we will have to see with the flowering time. I'm thinkin somewhere around week 9 most likely. Maybe week 8 but that could be a bit early like you said.

Week 3 Flower

Yo everyone! It's the 3rd week of flower and the buds have gotten much bigger in size compared to last week. I'm happy no doubt about it. Just watered the girls with a nice strong brew of earth juice so I'm hoping the buds will just explode with resinous powah.

Here's what I have been feeding them as of late.

It's been getting a bit colder these past couple weeks so temperature control is a piece of cake right now. Had the 600w runnin for a little bit but now I turned it up to 1k and the temps are at 78. Humidity has been good and fortunately(knock on wood) PM has not been rearing its ugly head as of late. From what I can tell the bud structure looks like it's going to be really dense. Befitting of an Indica indeed. Hopefully these plants turn fully purple by the time they are ready for harvest. Either way I'm excited to see what they produce and I'm excited to see how Earth Juice works out for me.

So heres some pictures for ya. I only got some lights on pictures right now so I'll post up some lights off pictures when I get the chance. Let me know what you think about the quest so far!

Dark Pics

Hey guys thought I'd take a couple dark pictures right after the lights shut off. Man these girls are eating up Nitrogen like it's nothing. Even though I have been feeding them every time with ferts haha. I was assuming the Fish hydrolysate was going to cover me on the N needs for a little bit but I was wrong. That's why yesterday they got a big 15ml dose of the grow along side the 15ml dose of bloom to up the N levels so they can produce some nice nuggets.

So all in all ya I'm experiencing an N def, but I don't think it looks too bad and I'm not to worried since I just started adding more grow in the mix. Man those flowers want to grow! It was only a week ago that these girl's were premium green so some serious growth has taken place to suck all that N out.

Week 4 Flower

Damn people we are roughly half way through flower! Phew the nugs are frosting up and the smells are coming out. That signature "grape" smell is starting to arise when i open my tent:pimp: The nug size seems to be increasing at a decent rate as well. Still experiencing some yellowing from lack of N even though I added supplemental PBP grow in the mix for a quick N fix the last couple of feedings. My guess is those microbes are just consuming the shit out of my nitrogen and hoarding it all for themselves. Maybe I need to make some Protozoa tea in order to increase the nutrient cycling of my soil? Here's what I have been giving them as of late.

Alright got some pictures up for ya! Ya so I'm pretty much a believer in mixing neem seed meal and diatomite into my soil mix. This is the first grow that I haven't experienced even one damned fungus gnat. I'm loving it!

Time is Ticking Away

Week 5

Damn everyone flower just seems to go so fast sometimes(Time is ticking away). Finally we have some floral colors coming in. The tent is full of the grape aroma we all know and love. Fortunately PM has not been rearing it's ugly head! I'll admit I saw it at week 2 and I did a couple green cure sprays. It seems like that did the trick:character0095: I think I could have vegged them a bit more as they didn't stretch as much as I thought, now that I think of it though I've been mostly growing sativa hybrids so I should have considered the fact that this lady doesn't stretch very much with her pure indica background. Oh well lesson learned. Ofcourse I'm not dissapointed though haha. The nugs are frosty, smelly, and dense. Here's what I have been feeding them as of late.

As you may have noticed the watering frequency went down. I believe this is attributed to the colder temperatures I have been dealing with outside. Not to say the temps in the room are super cold or anything. I believe it might have to do more with the root zone temperature. I have a thermohygrometer witch reads the temps on top of the hood and it has a line out that reads the temps in the canopy. They generally stay within the 75-78 range but I suspect that the temps under the canopy might be a lot cooler because it is the light witch keeps the temps in the "sweet spot". I think I'll try moving the main unit down next to the pots to see what the temps look like. Either way here's some pictures for ya!

Yo grim I'm thinking for me it's underfeeding so essentially it could be all of those. In my previous grows and this one now I'm starting to notice that getting into week 2-3 they start needing a crap ton of nutes for the full change from veg to flower. Hence they exhaust their NPK reserves trying to get into flower. I usually end up playing catch up for a week or so trying to get the nutrient strength back up in the soil, so next time I'm going to try going all out by feeding them mega heavy right when I flip the switch to flower.

so justice...I know you were using the master program before...do you thing 5ml of each product for each feeding is enough then?

It's weird...on my first grow I was using the regular roots program water/feed/water and I had totally green stems which tells me my K was good and I figured it was a lack of N that made my leaves dry up then....Now i'm using the master program and some and I have stems that have purple striping and still yellowing leaves.

Right now im running some Grape Ape's in a scrog that r really looking like they r gonna pack on some weight. My Gorilla Grape/Grape Ape's is about 4 weeks into veg right now,I will posting pics of all my strains I've been blessed with as soon as I can.
