Hydro Growers:
1. Are you growing from seed or clones? clones
2. How old are your plants? 5 weeks from clones
3. How tall are your plants? around 18 inches
4. What type of hydro system are you using? hand water for now planed on setting up a drain to waste top drip but no need if plants look like this
5. What brand/type of nutrients are you using? aqua flakes a&b becasue i have it planed on using h&g coco after flakes ran out
6. What is the Ph of your nutrient solution? 5.8 last feeding i tried 6.5 last feed to see if i had a ph thing going on 1st time in coco
7. What is the PPM/EC of your tap water?30- 70ppm hanna meter i use r/o water
8. What is the PPM/EC of your nutrient solution? last three feeds 900ppm to high i think. I have been using 5.5 ml of both a&b along with all h&g additives and great white I think i need a good flush but there so light green i have been just feeding them i thing in ass backwards here
9. What is the temperature of your nutrient solution? 60
10. Does your PPM/EC show a rise or fall when you do your daily PPM check?NA
11. Does your pH show a rise or fall when you do your daily check?NA
12. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything?magic green two times at 2ml per gallon
13. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights") 8 600watt hps sunmaster
14. How close are your lights to the plants? 24- 30 inches
15. What size is your grow space in square feet? 80 square feet grow area
16. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space?day temp 70-78deg humidity 70-85% night temp 66-70deg humidity 42-65%
17. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space?nope
18. How much experience do you have growing? about 6 years all ways been around outside most. been only one year in this room

hello farmers i hope i can get a hand with this deal i got going here. any info that is need please let me know i will get it for you. my plants have looked this way since i t.p. them about three weeks ago. I don't understand your ambient temperature and humidity reporting. They look generally cool/cold to me.

Letting the pH range is good, but it needs to be a little tighter for the most part, 5.8-6.2, though 6.5 once in a while won't hurt anything for the most part.

If they were unhappy with the pH mostly, then you'd see more twisting. The leaves are curled under and slightly folded in which generally can indicate an issue with transpiration, with reddened petioles, and look a little too light a color green. Reddened petioles indicate a problem with phosphorous and greenness is generally a nitrogen issue. If it's too cold they can't use the nutrients given, just as they can't if the pH is off.

sorry about that i will edit that nice catch... the temp is around 70-78 day and 65-70 at night i can raise the temp up if that will help things. this is the first time that i ran a humidifier my humidity has been pretty high around 70 80% but now i have it at around 55-70 % just did that today and turned of the humidifier thanks for dropping in im about to trash them but i really dont want to quit on them they are blue dreams if that helps any

how many times do you water, and how much water do you give it? is it 100% coco? I notice mines turns like that when I was using 100% coco in a 5 gal smart pot and water 16 oz. After I change it to 50 coco and 50 perlite with 16 oz water and it was fine. Also a Ph range from 5.8 to 6.0. what was your run off?

First thing i would do is raise water temp from 60 to 66-73.
Wait until they dry out good before watering, and dont soak/drench the medium until they get roots established. Coco really needs to get almost as dry as soil inbetween waterings.
++Bump your feed to at least 10ml each of a&b (around1.8-2.0 ec) and since you use RO add a calcium supplement. I reccomend botanicare calplex or maybe cal-mag at 2-4ml gallon. After feeding with this higher strength nute solution for 2-3 weeks you can back off to 1.2-1.5 EC since your coco will be charged. Also, I would chop/top each plant in half --the new resulting growth should come in healthy with the higher feed and calcium. oh yeah and seamaidens advice is on point. hope this helps

Hey bro I have been rockin coco/ perlite in smart pots for a couple years. I have tried MANY nute companies but have always came back to H&G! Since we have very similar set ups I feel I can help. For one 6.5 is WAY too high! 5.8 in veg/early bloom and you can bump it up closer to 6 in late bloom. It seems unusual to me that your humitity is lower with lights off than with them one. Generally I like temps in high 70's with lights on and dont like a drop lower than high 60's once the lights go out. Water temp of 60 isnt too bad but will perform better in the high 60's. The easiest solution to your problem is to switch to COCO A/B. The aqua flake lacks the high amounts of calcium that the COCO requires. If I am correct the AQUA is given higher levels of iron to make up for the iron fallout that occurs when constantly running the solution thru magnetic pumps. If you decide to stick with the Aqua A/B you will have to play with CAL MAg levels. I am more familiar with calmg+ and would apply it at about 4ml per gallon then cut it out completely in late bloom. Dont worry 900ppm with H&G is not to high by any means especially in week 5 of veg!! I myself would even bump it up closer to 7ml. My final word of advice NEVER TREAT COCO LIKE SOIL!!!!!!!!!!!
NEVER LET IT DRY OUT!!! Coco is a hydro medium and preforms best when treated like one. If your are dead set on having a wet/dry cycle promix will better suit you of like a sunshine mix. It will be almost impossible for you to over saturate a coco perlite mix, especially in smartpots!!!! Letting the coco dry too much will cause nute concentrations to go thru the roof and cause massive ph fluctuations!! I have had plants similar to the pics you posted and 90% of the time it was due to underwater and letting the medium dry out to much. Once I increased my waterings most problems cleared up. I highly recommend you googling H3ad goes Coco to get a much better understanding of how to treat coco. My yields/bud quality have increased drastically (about 50%) since I read that thread and put that info into practice!! I also like to water until there is some water dripping out of the bottom of the smart pot. I hope this helps if you have further questions just ask.

1) Switch to COCO A/B
2) Dont do the same water frequency you would soil ( dont let it get dry)
3) ph at 5.8
4)Run H&G drip clean
5) water until water drips out from the bottom of smart pot
