How can I mail ROOTED cannabis clones properly

Sharing cannabis strains, especially those no longer available in seed form, can be made possible through a reliable clone shipping method. By following this guide, you can ensure a 100% success ratio in sending rooted clones that arrive in excellent condition.

Materials Needed

  1. Rubber exam gloves
  2. VHS cassette protectors
  3. Toilet paper or paper towel cardboard roll
  4. Scissors
  5. Scotch tape
  6. Plastic baggies (non-ziplock sandwich bags preferred)
  7. Larger freezer bags
  8. Padded envelope
  9. Fully rooted clones
  10. Water bottle of distilled water

Packaging Steps

  1. Cut the cardboard rolls to fit inside the VHS cassette protectors, allowing some room for the rockwool's bottom.
  2. Slice the cardboard tubes in half lengthwise.
  3. Place a well-rooted clone inside the cardboard tube and secure it with tape at the top and bottom.
  4. Mist the top and bottom of the protected clone.
  5. (Optional) Use an anti-transpirant wax spray to prolong the clone's lifespan.
  6. Insert the protected clone into a baggie, with the leaves facing the opening.
  7. Roll the baggie around the clone, fold the top down, and secure it with tape.
  8. Position the bagged and protected clone inside the VHS cassette case and close it gently.
  9. Double bag the cassette cases in larger freezer bags to prevent any odor from escaping.

Shipping Tips

Choose USPS Priority Mail for 2-3 day guaranteed delivery, starting at $3.85 per package. Overnight shipping is also an option, but avoid any method slower than three days to ensure the clones arrive in optimal condition.
