If you have an instrument, don't be scurred - show it!

Here's some pics of my gear...
the Ibanez PF5 acoustic was a gift from a ex, so i rarely play it. Its okay, but nothing special. built in tuner is cool....

the Epiphone EJ200ce is rad. especially for the price i paid for it - $300 (and it came w/hsc). i upgraded the tuners to grover imperials to give it a more regal look... the thing plays great and sounds great. except for the fact my daughter knocked it over and in doing so broke the electronics' mount - i need to take it into a shop for proper repair. as cool as the guitar is its not the gibson i yearn for....

I LOVE MY EPI LES PAULS! As much as I wish they were gibson, i get the sound out of them i need/want. I replaced the stock bridge pick ups in both with seymour duncan JB, replaced the stock tuners to grover rotomatics, disconnected the neck p/u & tone controls (I don't use them.... and i can hear a more "purer" sound), and off i went. i got the epis because for the price of 1 nice old gibson les paul with the mods i wanted (specificaly the p/u) cost just about what the 2 epi's + mods did. That, and i play in a bunch of different tunings, and tuning on stage is bad... plus it looks cool when you have a variety of guitars on stage and you use them all!

the noel gallagher supernova is bitchin. its actually my 3rd supernova, though its the first manchester blue model - the 2 union jacks i had (at different times) previously were each traded in for an old single channel marshall tube amp head. obviously i like the guitar - i keep getting them back! i want to get another union jack so i have the set... i love the sound of them. the feel. with some overdrive and some feedback watch out!

the G&L ASAT is my newest guitar. MY FIRST AMERICAN MADE... i have a friend who works at G&L in HB who was kind enough to let me into the wharehouse one night and I got to spend some hours going thru what they had sitting around - custom models, prototypes... everything! It was cool as fuck. this guitar rocks! from the birdseye maple neck to the prototype brindge, to the stamped "M".... awesome guitar that I cannnot wait to record with.

amp wise, i use my princeton chorus for keeping things quiet. You don't want the neighbors calling the cops for a noise complaint.... its a good little amp though that i can trust to get me through small gigs... but i like chaining it up with my big gun... you cannot beat an old single channel marshall for tone. cannot do it. only thing you can do to make it better is add more!!! i like taking my signal from my pedal board, split it into an old analog delay (ibanez ad9 - oh yeah!), and run the "dry" signal to the marshall, and the "slightly delayed/wet" signal to my fender (used to be my old 2 channel mesa triple rectifier.... THOSE WERE THE DAYS!) for an uber thick tone. Yummy.

i don't have any pics of my pedalboard at the moment... maybe i'll take one later... i used to be a "tone whore" and I collected some killer pedals that work well for me. Stuff from Fulltone, Teese, and old ibanez pedals....

so what do you have to make music with?

Damn Greyskull! Thats some nice gear!

The 2nd Epi LP you posted, is that the transparent Black Quilttop? Always loved the quilts.

And that looks like one kickass Marshall as well... do you know what model it is? Ive been using a JCM for a while now, but have been looking into a new amp perhaps lately..

Anyway, been rocking the guitar for 12-13 yrs now... Have a pretty nice collection. 2 Gibson Les Pauls (one Studio, one Standard DoubleCut-24 fret), a BC Rich 7 string, an oooooold yamaha Pacifica (my first guitar) and a few acoustics & acoustic/electrics around.

Lately all my money has been going into recording equipment as I have a decent little home studio set-up... I just dont like the way digital recordings sound, despite how easy they are... I stick to old reel to reel tape machines and those have been costing me to maintain.

Anyway, ill have to get up some pics of my gear tmr...I gotta admit, im more than jelous of that Marshall you have there :D Oh man, and you used to have an old 2-chan Triple Rec!!! Where did that go!!!?!? Id kill for one of those babys! They are legendary

DJ.Scotfree post them tables up yo!

Beeronymous that strat is cool looking man!

ConceptOfSleep you got it - quilt top. Both the flame & quit are the LE line... whatever you got the real deal gibsons man I am sooooo jealous. I would give my right pinky for a quilt top trans green DC w/ chrome hardware.... but i would take the gold ha ha ha

my marshall is a 50w 1979 JMP. Its been modified to have 2 knobs governing the preamp gain that are footswitchable... its like a 2 channel 1 channel amp, if that makes sense. AND IT HAS THE CHICKEN HEAD KNOBS mmmmmmm. I traded a Union Jack Supernova & a 100w 1978 4 input Marshall head & cheesy Red Bear cab and scored the amp & cab. The cab is a 78, factory white, loaded with 2 V30s and 2 Rolas 65s. I love running her wide open....
the 2 channel triple was sold to a cuz during some tough times... seriously when that was chained with the marshall, dude I had the most awesome hard rock guitar tone...

wohooo awesome to see some musicians in here....been making music for around 10-11 years now...my style is mostly psychedelic folk with electric and acoustic instruments, need some damb batteries for my camera so i can take some pics of all of them...

i learned to play by ear i was never really taught so i do things a bit different i only use open tunings and i usually put a different tuning each time i start playing its a hassle to write down them all and write out the melody but its the only way i know

here is what i play...all left handed some modified right handers.....

steel string acoustic guitar
nylon string classical guitar
epiphone electric guitar
electric bass
auto-harp
melodica
harmonica-4 different keys
accordion
alesis synthesizer
mandolin
ukulele
samick upright piano
88 key m-audio midi controller
bongos
tambourine
shackers
a bunch of boss pedals (reverb, delay, distortion, fender 65 deluxe reverb amp pedal, tremolo, chorus and a digi design loop pedal)

music to me is everything...any extra money either goes to more instruments or more seeds :rasta:

id love to here what type of music you guys make

A buddy of mine has a custom guitar shop that designed the Scary Budocaster for a special event. Featuring photography of none other than the Cali Connection gear.

I remembered seeing some nice gear in this thread so I figured I would share with you all. The list price on one of these is $2500 but I know the original buyer fell through so he would probably be willing to let this one go for less. PM me if you are interested in the Budocaster...or any other guitar art...
