I had a electrian upgrade my 100 amp 2 unit panels to a 200 amp panel main floor while still keeping the second floor panel . I know it's confusing . Problem I have is I no longer can get ahold of electrian and trying to be discrete as possible. Question being, now my main panel is 200 amps, the second floor panel is separate or just running off that main 200? I'm trying to run 3 flower room with 6k in each and 1 veg with 3 t5 and 2 600. B4 I go any further I'd like any help determining what I'm working with.

Plug something into the 100 amp service, and then throw the breaker off for the 200 amp service... If the 100 amp service goes off, then you know it's connected to the 200 amp service.

Yea I guess he would need 2 meters if they were separate.
Good call.

Measure the diameter of the conduit in which the main service wire is located. The conduit is a pipe that you can see entering your house either from the underground main electric wire or from a main wire coming off of a pole for above-ground service. A 2-inch conduit can hold a wire for 200 amp service, 100 amp service enters in a 1 1/4-inch conduit and a 1-inch conduit holds a wire for a 60 amp service. Many conduits are oversized, so it's possible to have a 60 amp service entering your house in a 2-inch conduit.

Ok thanks for replies guys I shut off the 200 amp panel and still had power on second floor from other panel. My next question is if I still have same line from pole outside. Is that same line that was once 100amp for both floors able to handle the 300 amp upgrade without a bigger wire from utility company ?

by my calculations with all of your lighting on you are using aprx 180 amps at 110 vac.
that's pushing it some I would at least call the electrical company and inquire as to the amperage capacity of the pole to house connection.
or just turn everything od and measure the connections for heat with a cheapo laser spot thermometer.
20,000 watts is a shit ton of watts

according to my math with all lights running Not including other equipment that setup will draw 180 amps at 110 vac.
the secret may be to run everything at 220 vac for a total draw of 90 amps.

I'm trying keep the electric company out of this if possible. The 2 6000 watt flower rooms are gonna b flip flop so 1 on and 1 off. The 12 600 room will match one of the 6k rooms. Thanks guys for all the help I've got so far. Just nervous on the wire from the street being able to hold the 200+ amp pull

Outnin, all my lights are on 220 outlets

that changes the calculation at 13000 watts
110 vac = 118.181818 amps
220 vac = 59.0909091 amps
neither should be an issue with a modern setup such as yours.

I would find someone to check it out. Doesn't look like a very professional installation.
Single service entrance split into 2 boxes

Yeah you definitely only have one drop feeding two meters, thats different but I assume power co put in meters so service entrance wire should be capable of carrying the load.
