Always loving the show. Very detailed and thought out. Love it

Thanks!

I am working hard to get to the next level, it never comes easy to me as far as growing the meds. I sure appreciate all the folks that have helped along the way. Cant wait to see what the yield is this time, dying to beat my last harvest but I lost one plant cause it was a male and lost another one that was growing all deformed and retarded. So my canopy has some small gaps although the other plants filled most of the area.

I think I have 3 weeks or so left.

I need to enlarge my igloo rez, too. The run time needed to properly fill the two totes per rez sucks up every bit of solution out of my current igloo rez. Ditto my DIY large kitty litter bucket needs to be bigger/more volume

Looks like I am less than 2 weeks from harvest (near as I can tell). Cheese Quake doesn't seem to ever change to amber so it makes it harder to determine when she crosses the finish line. Most white hairs are red now, calyxes are swollen like they have seed but none is there of course, trichs are cloudy but a few are still clear. Grow smells like cheese and roses (weird but good). Even the sativa dominant one is catching up and looks close to the Indica phenos.

Can't wait to finish, have sorted clones waiting in the veg room that will be just about ready right on time (18" tall and growing freakin fast). Have lots more clones ready for the veg tent. Finally I got a cycle where my timing was right between clones, veg and flower.....

Harvested over the last few days and all is in drying/curing. Got 5.5 lbs wet with 35 grams of 120 micron dry ice hash.

Don't have the buds dry enough yet for final weigh in. I am guessing about 1.25 lbs after a good cure. Some of the buds are already in jars because they were drying too fast.

For me with only a few years of growing experience this is a good harvest and is the best so far. I am running 750 watts (true power) COBs. I know I am nowhere near the dick wagging bragging level of many but remember not all of us are master growers.....yet. I like to be straight up about my numbers.

No C02 yet but other environmental controls are pretty tight. would like to add C02 soon but I need other equipment first. Need a chiller for my veg tent as Summer is coming and I wont be able to keep the water cool enough soon.

If I make .75 to .85 grams per watt I'll be on target for this cycle. I am patient and develop processes slowly so I think getting to 1 gram per watt is on the horizon. The next cycle will be the first with truly sorted genetics for this strain and I am still running some seedlings looking for that one or two phenos I have seen in previous cycles. One of the monsters wouldn't clone worth a shit and the other one is continuing on and does clone fine.

If I could get a whole run of that pheno I could easily break the 1 gram mark and probably better. The next two runs will be only 6 plants as opposed to 8 because I am only allowed 10 and 4 will be considered "mature" and growing outside all Summer so I'll be limited to 6. Usually I try for 10 but my room is really optimized for 8 and so the canopy size is more of what determines my output.

So, onward and upward with the next cycle. My teenagers were ready on the exact day of harvest so in addition to the harvest and days of trimming I had to clean the room and system and then move the teens in. Been working my ass of this last week.....Trimming is a real chore! Cleaning and recharging all the systems are as well.

One plants output, Sorry for the blurry picture cause I got sticky finger hash on the lens. :) Also, I don't trim super close because I keep my harvest for me and I think the trimming for "bag appeal" is a waste of good frosty material

Are those qb’s half 66’s or something else? Nice work on the run btw

Quite the sophisticated setup you have there! Good job! I plan on saving my trim to make tinctures. I already have a ton of sugar leaves and I’d hate to waste them.

The veg tent is QB 120's (2) at 60 watts per. I would like to add one more.

The flower room is 4X4 plant space (6X5 with space for AC and working) and it has a DIY set of (12) 65-130W Luminous 90 CRI 3500K COBs. It runs a max of 750 watts for efficiency and is fully dimmable.

Hydro system is a DIY Undercurrent with 2" returns and an 1150 GPH return pump with 1/4 horse chiller.

The AC in the wall is a backup to the IdealAir system I use.

Yeah, my best stuff comes from the trim! I like to have it processed with dry ice and 120 mesh. Makes a clean product not quite as good as 73 mesh bubble but pretty close and makes a good base for oral medication. I mix it (decarbed first) with coconut oil and a dash of soy lecithin (emulsifier) and put it in capsules.

Just did some tinctures today. First time I have done anything but RSO. I used all my trim to have dry ice 120 micron hash made. Then I disolved a small quantity in Everclear, heated and filtered it. Then I reduce it to boil off all the alcohol and then decarboxylate it for an hour at 240F and now I have an RSO equivalent without all the clorophyll and plant lipids in it. In-other-words clean RSO. Then I make gelcaps as a daily medication. This time I saved some of the tincture to try the under the tongue method.

Dang! That’s awesome you can do all that. I was was going to try kosher vegetable glycerin and process it over night in a canning jar in a crockpot. Found a decent recipe with good reviews.

Tincture then?

I went to test one small bud that was quite dry but definitely not cured but wanted to test drive. Well, lets just say I am feeling quite well. I was so inspired I used the leftover oil that couldn't be scraped out of the beaker and heated it with some butter. This pulled all the residual oil into the butter. Then made some awesome snicker-doodles. I always try to find a way to avoid wasting anything.

Yes, tinctures. I still need to get something to decarb in that will contain most of the smell. I was reading about the Magical Butter Silicone Decarboxylation Thermometer DecarBox Combo pack but I’m not sure if it will live up to all the hype. I read about the Alcholol based tinctures but since this would be my first time making them, I want to at least master the easy method first. Then maybe I’ll graduate to the Alcholol based method.

I think the challenge is to flavor it properly so it doesn't taste so strong and weedy. I had some white widow tincture that was so smooth and didn't have that strong oil of cannabis flavor. Some people like the taste of straight up oil but I think most don't.

Ok, so I have to revise my numbers in a good way. Chopped the last half of the last plants and the wet total is over 6lbs. A small quantity of buds are still drying a little but the main batch has now stabilized in weight and my latest weigh in has exceeded my expectations. With 1/2 a plant still drying I have harvested:

1. 35.5 grams dry ice 120 micron hash from the trim
2. 1.55 lbs. flower
3. so far 705 grams from 750 watts but I think after the last plant dries I have a good chance of making 1gram per watt

The thing that is amazing me about the COB LEDs is I had virtually no larf (popcorn buds). Even the buds that were underneath in the shadows swelled up nicely and even though they weren't as big as the main colas at least they were plenty usable and not under developed. I really believe this is due to having 12 light sources with many different angles and origination that actually gets a certain amount of light into the canopy and under some of the leaves that would normally block light from a single point source above them.

This is what to me flies in the face of all that BS that LED doesn't penetrate.

Part of the harvest that is dry enough for jars (each jar holds a little more than a dry 2 ounces):
