i have been growing in the UC since the blue modules. been using Cultured Solutions by the chart since the concept . i grew with two 1,000 watt hps in a 10x10 room with great results and a lot of electric between the lights, air conditioner, and the dehumidifier.
i made the decision to make the switch to leds. i went with two HLG-600H Quantum boards .its been two weeks the light seem great there dimmable run cooler and use all around a lot less electricity in the room . but i am getting what looks like a magnesium deficiency.
anybody out there growing in the UC under leds using Cultured Solutions full line having any deficiency showing in there grow. if so what are you seeing and what are you doing about it? any input would be great!
i have reposted from the under current.
thanks!

I grow with the exact same light. I also found my plants demand a lot of cal-mag but I'm using mega crop version 1. From what others have said making the switch to led is the demand for cal mag is increased So i would say it's normal and just supplement.

but i don't think its a cal mag issue . to me it looks like a magnesium deficiency .
someone told me to use mag-amped. very acidic crashed my Ph. he said to simply Ph up.to me that doesn't seem right in the UC?

Cal mag is usually calcium bicarbonate and magnesium sulfate. There is debate over what ratios are needed using a cal mag I think are usually 5-1 ratio. The calcium bicarbonate will help buffer the pH and keep it from crashing. That's why I suggested adding cal mag. It helps buffer and if you feel cal-mag ratios are important it covers you there too. Personally I like to keep a 5-1 ratio

I thought most “ calmag”’s were calcium nitrate & magnesium sulfate and some iron ( depending brand )?
I switch (grow more flower cal/mag) to a non N BASED after 4th week for calcium & magnesium nutes . Previous rounds ( this is my 3rd time trying it ) if I kept trying to use cal/mag ( too much n after week 4) or when I tried r diff organics calcium based things, too slow even when I have it from the beg of flower . so why fuck around lol

Calimagic is calcium carbonate and magnesium sulfate and iron.I also have several different individual nutes I sometimes use. But not going to recommend it to people. Yes some cal-mag uses calcium nitrate. I should have provided that info also since not all cal-mag are the same

5-1 ratio ? 5ml of cal mag to 1 gallon of water? i first started cal mag at 3ml per gal. today at lights off i sprayed with 1tsp per gallon of epsom salt.see what happens

seems i have cured my magnesium problem with 1 tablespoon of epsom salt per gallon of nutrient solutions . now, its not even warm yet and i am dealing with high rates of rh.

finally reaching the end of the stretch (day 25) . had to bend a bunch of tops to keep them within the frame work. the plants under the leds are on a feeding craze with no deficiency. we'll see how it turns out? RH has been low outside for the last few days helping with my room RH concerns?
