Looks beautiful! But she doesnt look finished to me. I think she can go a bit longer and give even more.

How long do you think? Looked at the trichomes and they are pretty much all cloudy with a little amber. I’d say about 70% cloudy. 20% clear and 10% amber. They are changing pretty rapidly so I figured by Friday they would be good. Friday will be 8.5 weeks in flower

Just wanna start by saying I’m no expert here haha. It’s my first grow. But from what I understand if you are growing in soil that has organic amendments in it you don’t need to flush. Only need to flush if you are adding liquid nutrients. Seems like a heated topic around here haha. Some people will tell you that flushing makes for a smoother smoke (less harsh) and some people will swear that it doesn’t matter. My research has led me to believe that it’s worth it to flush. I’m just going off other people’s opinions though. I think it comes down to personal preference. I have no idea if it matters or not. I decided to flush regardless. I think the safe route would be to flush 1-2 weeks before harvest. I did 1 week. Just used regular tap water @150 TDS. Let it sit out for a couple days to evaporate the chlorine. Then P.H the water to 6.2 and gave them enough water to have about 20% run off. Hope this helps you ✌🏻

Are the trichs you are looking at on the calyx or the bud leaves?

If the leaves they usually turn earlier. I wait until the pistils have died back more and the trichs are as close to 100% cloudy as possible. Also the flowers get a more done look to them.

Of course some plants are ready sooner but i almost always go a couple weeks at least past breeder quotes. I never heard anyone compain about weed cut a little later but always here disapointment when harvested early.

That said. Real nice work. The flower is lovely. And im sure she will be tasty and still potent this week too. She is definitely entering the harvest window now.

Thanks man. I am Looking at the calyx. Most pistals are dark and have curled in. I’d say like 85% of the colas have curled in. I would personally like to let them go a little longer but I herd harvesting takes a long time. I’ve been told mine would take a while cause I didn’t do much defoliating 🤷🏼‍♂️ haha. I don’t have much free time in the coming weeks. I have this Friday off work. The kids are in daycare all day and my wife is at work all day too. Seems like the perfect time to do it lol. Won’t have any distractions haha.

How many plants are you harvesting? I can cut a 5 oz indoor bush never defoliated with every original leaf still on it and chop it into individual branches to hang in 20 minutes. We do it almost every week here. We start a seed/ clone almost every week and harvest about the same. Veg and flower rooms alway running perpetually.

Oh. We leave the bud leaves attached and dry about a week then dry trim on screened trim trays to collect loose trichomes.

Here is an example.

That’s amazing. I have 4 plants. They are pretty big (about 4-5 ft tall). I’d say about 3 or 4 times bigger then your picture. I have a serious amount of leaves on them tough haha. I have never done it before so not to sure what to expect exactly. I guess the only way to learn is to actually do it. I figured if I took the day I would be able to get them done no problem.

Man they look great! You have a real nice harvest ahead. And youre right. It is all a big learning curve to get through.

And that plant is 2’ x 2’ and yielded almost 6 oz dry. All nice bud. I staggar 4 a 600 hps like that.

Hey there so if I have a 7-8 week strain and I want to flush with water should I start the flush at the beginning and week 8??

That’s crazy. Is it autoflower or photoperiod? If photoperiod how long were you in VEG for ? Did you do some kind of LST ? What is your growing medium ?

If you don’t mind, bending at an angle or 90 degrees? My buddy wants to “bend” my girls (start of 6 weeks flower).
