In soil there is always biological activity producing minerals for the plants. In coco the only minerals available are introduced. I wouldn't recommend water only but slowly diluting and changing the percentages over the remaining days/weeks of flower. The last day or two should be okay but the plant will need nutes, just in different percentages and levels than when vegging.

I deplete the 3 gallon pots of most nutrients by week 3 on average. So if i quit feeding (lightly each watering is my style) the plants will yellow right away. So i taper like you just said even in potting soil.

thanks very much for the expertise! I just had to literally get in the tent and tape/stake every branch. Buds are so heavy that the branches are folding over. Gave them a micro dose of MB but they do not act hungry. I probably killed them all...🥵

Really weak branches can be a sign of bad potassium uptake. Can be caused by too much pk blocking roots. Potassium deficient plants tend to be the tallest and healthiest plants in the room until they arent.

A bloom type pk boost a couple times can be very helpful but the plants do better with a balanced fertilizer. That and early yellowing are why I ditched the pk bottle.

Or its just genetics. And im just babbling. ;-)

that makes sense. I burn leaves every single time I use the PK...so next run will be without it. I always read that sativas were heavy feeders so I have given them a 1/2 or 1/3 dose. even that burns them. I can just do without it. let’s see how it goes. thank you!

maybe I’ll just go for a veg nute and a bloom nute...cut out all the PK boost and anything else. never have the “not enough x” situation...always the “too much x”. and grow no more than 2 in my tent...can’t even see what’s what in there with 5!

Most bloom nutes are just pk boosters. It is the switching to the bloom ratio that causes many problems in late flower after many tests in my opinion.

therefore...Masterblend is used at same ratio all the way through...now that makes sense. Hours of darkness is the key to flower then. That leaves genetics as the other major factor. Am I going in the right direction? Starting to feel like taking about a dozen bottles back to the store 🤣

now your talking right, same here every time ive used kool bloom day after damn burned and then spend rest of grow struggling just to get some kind of product,i put my boast in the soil and cook now works better and less working them, tea is the key start um on it finish um on it,lmao same here also with the plants,i always pop more seeds than needed, but sure as shit i just pop 4 which is perfect for my little tent keeping them under 3ft tall i got 8 in there now,im hoping on 4 females from them,i also like to take cuts just for the hell of it ,i been stuck with my pants down many times wishing i would have cloned some great tasting herb ,so i usally go with 8 to 10 babies and weed um out until veg, then flip wait for sex and then usally have the 4 im looking for, last 2 grows i only had 1 male in each and just culled the rest for room ,2x4x5 tent aint big with a fan and light and filter if you dig

I have never grown any buds that are all white with trichomes...thought that was a strain thing. Firefly is a very strong strain and it never has all that sugar but it is still strong...so I need convincing that those beautiful frosty buds are more potent.

maser blend ,jack ,oasis all the same cheap and effective, used right you have food for years unless your running a warehouse just my opinion,it really comes down to the thecnic you use and dial in to your own methods,we could all give complete directions of how we grow in print, then when you try it might not even try to work, you get a foothold on what works best and easiest to fit your life style and the race is on,i really think i have become complacent and bored, that why i started the outside hydro, did i expect it to work ,not really but been fun as shit keeping the damn thing alive when it 105 outside haahah have me sweating hahah, thats the main goal here FUN,when it isnt it just a job and i dont work for the man anymore ,i work for the old ass no good for nothing tender in her golden years hen haahah.
these babies i just started went smooth out the box, cause i am bored, went with kellogs garden soil and 3 part humbolt feed, never used any of it,it will be interesting, iuve heard plenty of folk bitch about both so i decided that give the peanut between the ears and challenge and went for it
