Disinfected, like, that entire room today. A solution of water, bleach, and dawn got sprayed onto the walls, the floor, the fans, the pots... Then green cleaner and cleaning vinegar after that on everything.

Here you can see some of the ladies bouncing back from the PM. Here's Lavanda Cream finishing with a quickness! Really excited to have this on hand for the, like, week that it'll last me. 😄

You can see the spots on the leaves where they were affected, before what I've started to call the great neeming of 2020. Neem oil, straight, brushed onto the fan leaves with a little paintbrush right before lights out. Done 2-3 times a week, it seems to get the job done. Maybe the oil prevents the PM from growing on the surface of the leaf. Either way, that shit and the baking soda/epsom salt foliar spray has been huge. Maybe it not raining for two months straight outside has had something to do with it too. 😄

Here's the Ketama plant again. Love her quick flowering time and x.5 stretch, gonna cross her with the sativa males that have appeared (Nepalma and Green Manalishi F2) if they drop pollen in time.

I think I've been fighting a N shortage on theis one, so they've been getting some supplemental nutrients. And here's the room, after being cleaned and rearranged again.

Screenshot 20200212 195253

Obvs the males aren't in that picture. One of these sunny days I'll put them outside and let them strut their stuff! Have 4 so far, 2 Uzbekistan, 1 GMF2, and 1 Nepalma. Excited to start chucking some pollen! 😈

Glad to hear. Plants looks lovely.

Bullshit! They look like they just got their lives wrecked by PM. 😄

Just trying to learn as I go. I feel so lucky to be able to grow the plant that, in a few senses, keeps me alive.

Made a new batch of dirt today, and adjusted the recipe:

2 5gal buckets Perlite
1/2 5gal bucket each: EWC, coco coir, and sphagnum peat
3 cups dolomite lime
2 cups rock dust
1 cup alfalfa meal
1 cup wood ash
1/4 cup neem oil

Hydrated with:
1 cup molasses
2 cups FPJ kombucha
5 grams PFR 97
1 cup mycorrhizae
2 gallons water

Left to sit uncovered at room temp for a few hours before going into the mix.

The FPJ is cannabis trim that gets muddled with white sugar, left to sit for 8 hours, and finished by adding live kombucha and any used tea leaves I have sitting around. That goes in a cool cupboard for a week or so with the lid cracked so it doesn't explode, and then it's good to go into waterings after being strained. I started the first batch of this in an old kimchi container, so there's also some lacto action going on in there.

I've decided to stop reusing the soil after the second grow, just as a precaution. Maybe I'm technically running a living soil-less mix?

Did a whole bunch of repotting into new soil today. That beautiful lady front and center is Platinum GSC, courtesy of @Dirtbag. On the right is the revegging G13 Haze that blew my entire mind a while back. I'm doing more topping and training this round, as I'm getting the space and plants a lot more dialed in. Feedings vary in frequency by how much each strain drinks, but they all rotate between pure water, ewc/kelp/fpj/molasses tea, water again, and alfalfa tea or 10:1 diluted urine. Not as a foliar. 😄

Foliar sprays are the epsom salt/baking soda/PFR spray 2x/wk and neem/Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap/lemongrass oil/lacto garlic juice (whole garlic cloves muddled with 2.5% salt by weight, left at room temp for a week or so). Once the super hot peppers get ripe, those are gonna get fermented and the juice will go in there too.

On the floor to the right is the old water jug that I use as a cloner. Keeps most humidity in, lets enough air come through to prevent mold, lets light in... so far she's 4/4!

Also collected pollen from the Green Manalishi males. Their lineage is (Pacific G13 x NL) x (Hashplant x NL), so I'm pretty optimistic about the genetic potential. So far it's been crossed with the Nepalma Female, a Green Manalishi female (for more pheno hunting), and the nicer of the two Ko Chang Thai females. Gonna collect and save a bunch of this pollen.

Just got Liberty Haze popped. Heard really good things, so she'll get an extended veg time for sure.

Next beans to drop will be 5 ducksfoot regs. They're apparently a straight up indica with a heavy stone, so they could be something really special when crossed with a haze. Maybe the A1 Haze that'll get dropped next week, maybe the Lamb's breath x AK49 that'll get dropped with it, maybe the Silver Haze 9, maybe all of them!

Or maybe I'll get some Dr. Grinspoon beans and make some grinning duck! That'd be a crazy looking plant.

This Cheeselicious plant is wonderful. Still got white pistils showing up and she's got uber chunky buds. I'll likely cut her in the next couple weeks, but maybe not.

Screenshot from 2020 03 05 18 01 33

For scale, that's the top of the tallest plant in this picture. Those top buds are thicker than golf balls. Lavanda cream is in the back right corner, also a couple weeks or so away.

Here's Violator Kush, ready for the flip! This, HSO's Gorilla Breath, and HSO's Blue Dream got flipped today.

Screenshot from 2020 03 05 18 26 04

Also got a couple new lights from Kingbrite! The 240w lm301h @ 3000k, and a 770nm far red supplement strip. Eventually I'll have these hung in a more efficient manner, but for the time being this gets the job done. On the right is the HLG that I've been using, and the left is the new Kingbrite, turned all the way up. In the back is a surprisingly effective combination of 7 Canadian Tire grow bulbs that were $5 each. They're in the perfect spectrum for flowering, so I figured they were worth a shot.

Screenshot from 2020 03 05 18 00 41

So far I've got the following seeds being made:

Nepalma x Uzbekistan
Nepalma x Nepalma
Nepalma x GM [(Afghan x HP) x (G13 x NL)]
Nepalma x Thai (I think there's some real potential there)
GM x Thai
GM x Uzi
Uzi x Uzi

When those Triple Pakistan plants get flipped, they'll get crossed with the Nepalma and likely the Uzi. A bunch more fun stuff planned as well. If I could just chuck pollen and pheno hunt all day, I'd be the happiest dude ever.

As an aside, I've been really disappointed with Sensi's Silver Haze 9. Planted a couple seeds, they both germinated, and then they never made it out of their shell. Haven't really liked anything that I've ran of theirs, but I wanted to give them another shot.

Did you do something different? Plants look extra healthy. Cheese looks bomb. Nice work man. Can see progress. Congrats on upgrading lights!

Thanks man! Just trying to improve every day.

There isn't anything super different, just a number of tweaks. Made a new batch of soil and adjusted a few things. Got rid of all traces of bugs with Safer's soap and insecticide, replanted almost everything, got the table up off the ground and closer to the lights. The plants in flower get sprayed with epsom salt & sulfur foliar, which has been the most effective way of keeping the heinous PM here at bay.

I think it's just a combination of all of those factors than anything else.

Oh, maybe the defoliating has helped too. Apically dominant plants are great for outside, but they're just an inefficient use of space with stationary lights indoors.

I have decided to start adding Mega Crop with the next watering, though. I know the plants can absorb more nutes than they've been able to just from the soil, so now the question is how much?

Yeah, I'm terrible at updating this thing.

Shit has taken off in the last few weeks. In addition to the good herb, I've got all kinds of peppers, eggplants, melons, squash, lettuces, herbs, tomatoes, onions, garlic, and other stuff going. Really hoping that in a few months I won't have to leave the yard for food.

Screenshot from 2020 03 17 14 56 54

Germing now:

USC seeds Ducksfoot- the landrace with the original ducky leaves. Apparently it's a heavily narcotic short flowering indica, so I'll pair it with the Nepalma, Uzi, Triple Pakistan, and GM plants and make some beans.

Kurdish Kush! It's USC seeds' Turkish landrace, just renamed because Erdogan is a murderous dictator, and the Kurds have been screwed over by essentially everyone in the middle east, as well as the US and Russia. Just kinda feel like it's a better to pay tribute to them.

Silverfields, from Sannie. Super Silver Haze x [(Thai x Afghan) x Sannie's Jack Herer]. Veeeeery excited to run and try these beans. SSH is one of my faves and this by all account seems to be a knockout strain.

A-1 Haze, from Sagarmartha seeds. So far it's gone 0/2, with a few days of hope left for the second bean. I'll be bummed if it doesn't make it, but I'll be making more hazes.

The veg section is exploding. They're really liking the Mega Crop, to the point where I'm thinking of giving Promix another shot. The three buckets in front are red kuri squash, halona melon, and butternut squash, starting inside so that as soon as the danger of frost is gone they can start exploding outside.

And some flower porn. Nepalma is looking like a killer!

This GM plant topped itself in veg, so she's all kinds of top heavy. That's the same plant that was showing heavy deficiencies in the last few pics.

If i may make a suggestion.

You might try running smaller pots for longer, before going into 3-5g.
or reduce your watering even more.

I almost feel like your plants are a bit stunted.
Stalks should be bigger, more nodes.

Not that they are not pretty/lovely.

That actually works out perfectly, since I'm running out of bigger pots anyway. I'll do some side by side comps with these beans. Thanks for the tip! Definitely still getting things dialed in.

beans are a bit different because they have the tap root. That shoots down to the bottom and sends out lateral branches. IMO can get away with more with those. Due to the fact you got roots down there early on.

Clones dont have tap roots. They have fibrous root systems. If the bottom never drys out, they will never grow and fill the pot. This screwed me up for awhile. Not used to really having to dry it out.

Yeah, everything but two pots in there are from seed. The 5 gallons are on the way out, I think I'm sticking with the 3g from here on out as the max size unless outdoor happens. The 5g's were overkill, but they'll make great watermelons on the roof.

Hmmm. Yah stalks should be fatter, greener, and tighter node spacing.
All good. Just means you can get even better results than you do now. :D <3

Could be watering too often. How long would it take for the plants to droop if you didnt water them within your normal amount of time? 3-4 days? Another week?

maybe split test a couple plants.

A few that get watered less often.
and the rest get watered as normal.

See what brings better results?

Watering too often is a definite possibility. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I want the airflow in veg, so there's been a lot of evaporation variables. Seems right now like once a week for the 3g ladies is good and twice a week for the ladies in the 1g pots, but I'll start stretching the feedings out a bit.

The node spacing, though, I'm just gonna guess that's genetics. Got a bunch of very sativa ladies going.

Love it. Keep up the progression! Doing great. :)
