Harvested the first of two Chemdog SKVA x Bag of Oranges this evening.

Not my best work. Never fully recovered from the nute problem. Been picking dying leaves the last 2 weeks.

But the buds are dense heavy and smell fantastic! Definite gas and citrus permeated our whole house while cutting her up.

Please ignore the mess. Mrs. MMG went shopping today.

Transplanted the Citral x Pow 33 to its final #3 nursery pot.

And a pic of my spare bedroom soil bin and transplant setup.

I see the nice white color of your roots is a response to the black pot. I've been using clear pots wrapped in duct tape and I was still getting green roots on the edges of the pot. I double wrapped the pots and presto white roots again. One layer of duct tape still allowed light through and caused algae to grow. I don't know if it caused me any issues with the plants but it can't be the best conditions for the roots if they're turning green. It would probably limit growth and negatively effect their health in one way or another.

Pots are not transparent for a reason, going cheap has probably cost me more in duct tape than proper pots would have at the begining.

They are pretty white but they were stained by the first feed of pure blend pro. The humic and stuff stains the roots. Your comment made me check.

I will have to remember to take a pic of the next one. I think she only got dyna grow.

I think that might be more a peat/promix thing than the nutes themselves. I always got discolored roots in promix no matter what nute I used. But as you know I've been running pbp in coco, as well as floralicious plus and the roots are as white as Odins beard. Even this little guy was getting multiple daily feeds of pbp @ 500ppm. They look the same under the floraflex caps in my flowering plants too. Pristine pearly white.

Huh. I always thought it was the humic acid. They were even darker in ocean forest. Now i know.

It's just a thought, I dont really know, but that's my observations having used both types of media with pbp, and I'm even adding extra humic to the coco grow.
Though I'm also using enzymes and microbes designed to promote root health and function. But even the last time I ran coco a decade ago I was using floranova and floralicious and the roots were again pearly white. I think it's something to do with peat mixes

Coincidentally, I just found a russet mite on that plant I posted a pic of. I guess the living room window wasnt the safest spot for it lol. Oh well.. hopefully no cross contamination to my other vegging plants in the shed, but I'll be treating them with something just in case.. just not sure what exactly yet.

Sorry that happened. I have no experience with mites.

Hey Mim , really ? No experience with mites , you are lucky , hope I don't jinx you , but when and if that day comes you are going to experience a nightmare most of us have been thru ......

Where would I get them? Not that I want them. ;-)

Always wash and change to clean clothes before going in to any plant room and no outside plants allowed.
