OK, so I am a bit tardy with the update!

Candy Cane is now 6 weeks from seed. Flowring has begun in earnest. Have started spraying with premodial solutions TrueBloom daily. I will begin adding flower fuel at 1/4 strength which has an npk rating 0-32-36. Max for this stuff is 50%. Cleaned up the skirt so that i don't incur the wrath of bud rot, etc i also added a third fan blowing up from the bottom to help move air through the thick Indica canopy.

To be honest bro, i kinda hate growing indica strains. They're so bushy its annoying to deal with. Do you like the bushy aspect of them?

Now for an update on the Crystal Meth. The new kid on the block.

They are now two weeks since seed pop. They have been sitting a mixture of Primordial solutions rootamentry and sea green with an air stone, under a single T-5. This shit is so good that at two weeks the codial leaves have not even started to yellow. 🥳🤣 Fucking amazing shit it is!!!

Today they moved in to their new home for the next 10 weeks. Again only Primordial Solutions Sea Green & rootamentry; along with hydroguard, calimag, enzymes and Botnicare "sweet" for the enzymes to feed on. Added my Great White Mycorrhizae as well.

Don't really know this is my first Indica, the rest have all been hybrid. I did notice very quickly that i needed to start trimming much, much earlier to ensure air flow. After my last grow experienced bud rot, I am not taking any chances with moisture. I would rather be low on RH than over. 🍻

What yall think about optic lights?

Never looked at them until you mentioned them. They have good spec and a 5 year warranty so they can't be total shit. 🍻 You have to be pretty friggin confident to go that long.

Update: Crystal Meth End of Week 4 from seed.

They did not get any more love than the Candy Cane. 😢

Trimmed off the brown, clipped a few rogue leaves and they are being feed only Primordial Solutions and CaliMag. With enzymes of course.

Cannabis Problem-Solving Flowchart,
original URL ==> https://www.growweedeasy.com/5-step-solution-to-most-cannabis-growing-problems

Yes I found it and thought it might be useful and thought i should pass it on!
It won't fix everything but it is a damn good start.
I am sure there will be LOTS of comments to this chart. So Let's get this party started.... This should be good 🍻 🥂😎

This may need to be posted to the Infirmary feed. If this starts going nuts, i'll move it over there under its own heading. 🥳

UPDATE: Candy Cane #1

We have about two weeks left on a 12 week grow by the calendar.
For Plant #1 that seems reasonable, for plant #2 not so much. Same seed order, same species two totally different strains. Oh and they sprouted from seed on the same day.

My real problem is that they share a rez 😢

Learn something different every grow.....

UPDATE: HARVEST - Candy Cane Plant #1 The smaller of the two plants. 14 ounces wet weight. Will publish dry weight in 7-10 days

Chopped, trimmed and into the dryer cabinet for a week or so. The other plant is HUGE (easily 3x the one just harvested) but is about 2 maybe 3 weeks behind.

😎 🥂 🍻

I don't know what this Candy Cane is crossed with but it has gone ape-shit in my cabinet.

There were two plants growing in the same net pot. They were from the same order and planted at the same time. They both grew at about the same rate for 6-7 weeks, then one flowered continued to grow, the other was a bit slower but kept growing, and growing, and growing.. I eventually harvested the smaller plant at 11 weeks from sprout. Ended up with a QP of dried weight.

Now this mother has filled the entire 2x4x6 cabinet. I will probably do a double harvest because earlier in the growth i had leaned the taller plant to one side and put a divider between the two so it would not crowd out the smaller plant. This forced part of the larger plant to be lower in the cabinet and thus received less light, leading to smaller buds on those branches.

Those exposed to the full light are nearing maturity. The main Colas will probably turn this week or early next. I will take those and start them to drying, and let the others grow until they tell me it is time to call it a grow. On the next grow of Candy Cane i will only be dropping two beans (already done) because i had 100% germ rate on the last round and created my own problems.

🍻 🥂🥳 Happy Growing

That's an insane looking plant! Never seen frosty stems before haha.

The new growth in the center of the leaves not having trichomes looks to me like it might be either revegging or a slight N toxicity. But it might also be part of the strain?

I am pretty sure it is N tox. I had two plants in the same rez growing at different rates even though they came in the same shipment of seeds. I am guessing two different crosses of candy cane. One flowered and topped at about 28 inches. The other is now well over 5 foot (that tall bastard in the top pic in the previous post.

I have never seen frosted stems either! 😉

Forgot to mention that the single plant has big buds on the top left because it was leaning way over to the right while the shorter plant finished. I kept it pulled right using two magnets and some 1/8 in silicone air hose. So the buds on the far right are WAY behind. Thus the discussed need for a double harvest.

Hello Everyone, I apologize for my extended absence but it could not be avoided.
Short version is that my family like 225K other American families had a tragic run-in with flu. Now that that ugliness is over with I have come back to the Farm and my two grows.

The Candy Cane came in but it was not a great harvest but the smoke is awesome and i have two more already almost 3 weeks old.

As for the Crystal Meth... welllllllll that is another story.... it is just about finished but I think I stunted the shit out of them with bad PH husbandry and combined with the fact that i have never done a sative plant. They will get cut next week. They are butt ugly with brown leaves but the colas that are there are huge. The entire plant is right around two foot tall. I dropped four new beans on the 6th so we shall see if the plants are at fault or me (i'm pretty sure i know the answer to that one). ☹

For those interested in the fine art of water quality; I have just purchased these four optical testers and will be describing my experiences with each during this current set of grows.

I happened upon them while looking for a test kit for alkalinity because my PH was not stable at all. It change over minutes or hours instead of days. What i found was the alkalinity checker below. It was so easy to use that i started looking for other parameter testers.

the only thing i could not find in the same price range was a potassium checker (they had one but it STARTED at $350).

This should be interesting. 🥳 🍻
