I know some oldtimers who use potato slices. No added flavors.

I have heard that too, an ol’ boy told me that potatoes were harder to do due to moisture content vs. density, tried the orange peel deal and it worked like a champ...

Bananas work too. Fresh bud is also good.

lol kinda like a boveda pack, only the orange taste better.

We used to do this in high school in the 80’s. It just dries back out in the air anyway and doesnt really smoke right until it does.

Are the boveda packs why people's weed doesnt always seem dry enough? Like it wont stay lit right?

idk I used the 58% once and it burned ok but ruined the flavor, 62 might be too wet. Would have been better off leaving it dry. never again

It just adds humidity to the jar or bag and dampens the plant matter. It doesnt reconstitute the natural water inside the tissue of the calyx.

And it adds weight artificially so you can rip off customers. ;-)

Even stored at 62 % without a pack its still too wet to stay lit . But probably yes as there seems to be a whole lot of people using them as a curing aid as well.

People who don't like the taste of good bud maybe.
