There is better coffee to be had then blue mountain hippie. And you should learn to brew with a v60 and a goose neck kettle. Brings out the best flavor in your coffee. French press is good but the flavor and texture is muddled.

Yea, I think Sumatra is one of the best, I also like some pure Kona when it's done right, but blue mountain is overrated, it's just expensive because Japan buys most of the harvest, for consumption and drives up the price. Ethopian, costa rica, peru, brazil, Kenya, there's lots of good coffee's around, I think

I think were on much of the same wavelength actually. I don't mind bubblegum if it's blow you mind bubblegum that's got good bones to it. It's got to check several boxes, not just taste or potency, but density, producer, size, vigor, ease of grow, resistance, all those factors are big for me, because I'm not in a grow lab whereas I can control all the variables, I was a good old school plant that performs as I expect it too and produces reliable results.

I'm big on earth, spicy or otherwise "stinky" strains, one's that other people might reach over for one of the newer strains out there. Either that, or possibly something along those lines, but with some "exotic" I enjoy, such as GG#4, (a known indica) but still checking all those boxes.

I my mind, it's only Kushes that can reliably check every box on the list, (reliably) at least form this grower's perspective. I say, stick with the kushes, because mixing anything with them is always going to produce a superior product, for the most part.

Then checkout Mosca on DCSE. I have one called Bubble Gum Boogie that is their Raspberry Boogie x Indiana Bubblegum. Sshz recommended the breeder and I see why. I also got Dancing Queen. That's 2 Bodhi strains crossed with Sharon White Widow... another foundation strain/classic.

For Kush? Imo Hazeman has got it going on. He is from Michigan and Kush is his thing. His lineages read like a cannabis cup guide from the 80s and 90s. Mad respect for what he's put together.

Well there's a story behind that amigo... Ince upon a time I was a busy hippie running a tech team and never took a vacation.

So my wife put our silver colored card in my hand and said Y2k is coming. Where is the one place in earth you'd like to ride it out if the shtf? Instant response... Jamaica, the less populated side. She's like why? Power... they are self sufficient. And weed. And beach. And diving. And all inclusive exclusive bungalows on said beach.

Done. Woman goes and books 3 weeks, private stand alone bungalow at Ocho Rios Sandals, 24 hr concierge. Wtf. So we left on Dec 15 and came back Jan 15. Ended up having such a great time we extended and they gave us 50% off the week.

Daily routine? Up at 5a. SSS. Down at the piano bar at 5:30a. That's when the chefs showed up. Got served pressed Blue mountain. Smoked a joint sprinkled with hand rubbed hash. Played the piano. Ate a light breakfast. More coffee. More pot until the dive master showed up at 7a. We'd chit chat for 30 minutes while he did his thing. And then we'd head out around 7:30a for the first dive of the day.

I'll never forget that time. It was magic. All of it. And that coffee? Sort of puts a grin on my face every morning.

Blue mountain is also expense due to the tax they put on it.
Best to find a coffee shop that sources there beans themselves instead of using coffee brokers. I buy from corvus coffee who travelsto central, South America and Africa every yearto make relations with small family farms. They bounce back and forth from natural processing to washed. The best coffee I’ve ever had was a geisha variety from panama.
Geisha and Sidra varieties are the best in the world and only grow well in some places. Super picky low yielding coffees. These coffees range from $40-60 for a 150 gram tin. They are only available in very small batches. Corvus has been deopping them every month or two. But I’d suggest learning to brew on a v60 before buying these, really brings out all thevtasting notes. Tif your familiar with wine ratings in the 90+ points this is where the geishas and Sidra s fall into.

I love your wife. ❤

I love her too. She's pretty awesome. If you look up there you'll find yet another discussion about quality, the best of, etc. That's something that never ceases to amaze me. At some point, it is ok to find what you like. I've owned a ton of different sports cars. Some imported and infamous. Others? Eh... not so much. But what sits in my driveway right now? Truck. lol :D

Broooooo what kinda press you got? I’m gunna have to come over and press some of this og kush I have drying currently lol.
Best investment for my growing hobby. It was a freaking bargain too but Im not sure if this company is still in business. I bought it on Ebay from a company called DIYRosin. This guy builds these kits out of parts he sources overseas. It was the cheapest rig I could find that was big enough to handle my home growing needs. I bought it around 4 years ago and I think it was around $350 then I paid I think another $150 for the 12 Ton shop press at Harbor Freight. I use it a lot to squash flower that is starting to get old. After a big harvest often months later your butts of the jars are getting stale then I will squash everything to preserve it. Older flower always comes out dark but it still tastes descent and fucks you up still has lots of THC in it. But if you want the real fire its all about the fresh runs that shit comes out straight yellow/amber like ear wax. High grade clinic herb comes out fucking superb.

I had a bunch of leftover outdoor kush flower one season I couldn't go through my product quick enough. At the end I decided I was gonna squash all of it to prevent it from totally being wasted. Ended up going through like 3 packages of filter bags I was a straight squashing fool for 2 weekends back to back. My arms were sore at the end from cranking the press lever I felt like Arnold Schwarzenegger 💪. This puck was like 1/4 inch thick it was well over 100g once completed. This was years ago I still have about half left in my freezer, even though its dark it actually still tastes like Kush after all that time LOL

frosting up the buds that were underneath, getting much harder now. Been using the new agromaxx HO pure UV T5 (one unit for 6x6 area) first day I did a few 15 min episodes, slowly increasing to 1 hour intervals, twice daily.
