Why not document my grow for once? Started indoors, will go out as soon as weather permits.

I started my ladies 4 and 5 weeks ago. They will be going outside as soon as possible, most likely early to mid May. Today some of them enjoyed a few hours in the sun getting acclimated. I'll be doing some topping and training in the near future.

Well I evicted all but two of the plants that were not mine. Helped my old man set up his space and dropped of the babies, felt like a mama losing custody. 🤣
I just topped my three big girls and threw the tops into pods to see if they'll root, because why not?
Here's some pics of before and after our haircuts and the beginning of our training... ohhh the hassles of being a lady! 🤣

The smaller ones are about two weeks behind the big ladies, we'll start thier beauty school in a couple weeks.
Should be able to go in the ground in 3-4 weeks.

If you put them out side in early to mid May , They will start budding. and will not get back to growing till June.

Yeah I'm hoping to keep them till almost June if they have the space. I started them the first of March. Can't wait too long here, it's usually snowing by October.

I was planning on starting them in February some time, but I took too long to order my seeds and they took quite a while to get here, which is also why I have different stages, some came before others and I got impatient.

When you put them outside too early you lose weeks of growing time. It's how long the light hours are that makes them veg. If you put them out with short light hours they will start budding. You must wait till early June before you put them out. If you don't they start budding, then as the light hour increase they will start veg. You lose 3-4 weeks veg growing . Makes for smaller plants.

Yes I understand that they switch to flower as soon as I take them off thier current light cycle and put them out if it's before summer sun, but there's not much I can do if I don't have the space, and I fear they won't have time to mature if I wait too long. Last year I was out covering plants from frost for weeks and that's not my idea of fun.

How soon you put them out has nothing to do with when they will mature. The amount of hours of light tell the plant when to start budding. You can add light hours to make them stay in veg. Use a 1000 watt light. I NEVER harvest till Nov. The last two weeks are the most important, that is when the oil is made. If you harvest early you will not get full oil sacks.

Highly likely they might be triggered in to prematurely flowering this early. The May 24th long weekend is generally accepted for planting outdoors over here.

Yeah they're not going out anytime soon, and if they don't outgrow the space, they can stay through May. Also it's usually winter here in November, nothing makes it past mid October without assistance most years. I've always put them out late may and never noticed anything funky, but I'm no expert .

The ladies have undergone a few changes these past couple weeks. They outgrew thier closet, so I relocated them to my largest closet, added a small MarsHydro LED as well. They were all transplanted as well, the older 3 ladies went from one gallon to 3 gallon and the younger gals went from smaller quart-ish pots to gallon pots. We've begun some training as well. I topped the 3 big ladies and attempted to clone them, one has rooted so far and the other two are still healthy, so hopefully soon... working with my MacGyver style set up the best I can. 🤣
Once the clone area is done, the ladies will be spread out and my 3rd light added. That should get us

through till we can go outside!

This is Ms. Super Silver Haze. Her head is now a baby, just graduated to her pot this morning. Mama is doing well with recovery and training... she is also stinking up my upstairs... C'mon summer... someday I'll have a legit grow space... for now I'm making do.

Soil making day! Got most mixed and put into containers to cook for a few weeks. Organic soil from my local garden shop, peat moss, top soil, cow manure, worm castings, mushroom compost, bat guano, blood meal, bone meal, lime, Epsom salts, coffee grounds, eggshells annnnd a bunch of pearlite... I guess this is super soil... my mom was making super soil before that was a term, now I just mix by eye and hope for the best. Thanks for the green thumb mom... hope you're smiling down at the mess I made today. 😊
