Man, I'd hate it if I had to deal with a ridiculous amount of rain honestly. As much as California needs the rain, I'm glad I don't have to deal with it honestly. Everyone's grows are looking amazing! Can't wait till I start harvesting haha, got two gals that are ready to be chopped today. Here's some pics I took last night.View attachment 1172536View attachment 1172537View attachment 1172538View attachment 1172539View attachment 1172540View attachment 1172541View attachment 1172542View attachment 1172543View attachment 1172544View attachment 1172545View attachment 1172546View attachment 1172547View attachment 1172548View attachment 1172549View attachment 1172550View attachment 1172551View attachment 1172552View attachment 1172553View attachment 1172554
In New England its not just rain, the dewpoint is so high at night they get soaked unless covered.

🙏🏻🙏🏻 Bout another week or so yet. Warm days, cool nights, and no rain in sight 😎

Tip: shake your plants at night and first thing around dawn to remove any excess moisture/ dew point that accrued overnight. This will greatly help reduce botrytis, PM, and other potential fungal/rot issues.

having your plants positioned to receive the maximum amount of morning sun is critical to optimal development 🤙🏼

All kinds of stuff...some vintage 30+yr old clone onlys...some new test lines..some just for shits n gigs...
some started late...some very late...some half done....

Another tip to avoid bud rot is pull the buds away from the stalk at the budsite on the upper colas to prevent the Rot zone....If you can reach them....heh..
Or just dont grow massive colas...power to it

Had 4 clones given to me from a 18/6 schedule in a indoor commercial grow and went right into flower as soon as they went outside (may 1).

3 went through a weird 3 or 4 weeks of weird single leaves and turned out pretty normal but this freak actually grew two new main stalks after reveg and everything else died off

I just had to trim off another prime cola due to bud rot - indoors... your trip really got me thinking tho - I wonder if some sort of device/collar/spacer could be installed in between the top buds around week 3 or 4 to essentially keep them from fully connecting and creating some space between the main stem and the buds

My 3 girls are where I like them so its chopping time. They've been thru 2 tornadoes, flooding rains and 40 to 50 mph sustained winds. I like mine mostly cloudy with maybe 25 % amber. Its a good long buzz without totally gluing me to the couch.
Nice buds!!! Look well into the thickest parts of your bud to determine full ripening. Hold it, if needed. Or pull one back some (not in a million spots) Those ambers on sugar leaves are very misleading, especially outside grows. Lot's of time you'll have ambers on your sugar leaves, and the cores will still be very much ripening.

Ensuring correct harvesting timeline is one of the greatest challenges of the grow, IMO. Cause every grow is a little different.

Also, keep in mind your buds should have a good solid feel to them. If you've got a spot where you've been checking them, there going to harden up pretty significantly in the last week or so. That's the other way I try and assess if I'm on track, or not.

Most all ripening happens in the last few days. ie. The last week or so.

I grow a lot of different cultivars, and it's all perpetual for the most part (all in different stages of development) So for me, this is double critical, and believe me when I say, I've made my share of mistakes pulling weed too early. A little early (few days) is fine, IMO. But the peak of ripening is to die for.

Super dope gorilla. What’s your foliar/ IPM combo? Those look great and I’m looking for new two in one recipes
I use pure crop one and another organic product that’s similar. It has peppermint and rosemary oils and others along with a surfactant to help it all stick to the leaves. Spray once a week and you are good to go.
