What up guys I just wanted to give a shout out to my nutrient line Roots organics (dry amendments) and all the other products I use in my garden. The hydrozyme and hyshield are the newest addition with the hyshield supplying chitin. Insect frass is another great way to get chitin. The plant can sense this compound and it activates the SAR response in plants which is like it’s immune system. It fires up defenses and increases the production of secondary metabolites like THC and terpenes.

Let the frost show begin!!! She’s pretty dam big and seems hungry still. This strain seems to be a stretcher and also seems to be a heavier feeder. I have 2 clones of grape gas a sent into flower and they have easily more than doubled in size!!(pic included)

Today I top dressed 7 Tablespoons of terp tea bloom and bloom booster along with some worm castings. I did 3 scoops of the bloom and 4 of the bloom boost. I would usually wait a bit longer for the mid flower top dress but she needs more nutrients ASAP! The nutrient teas just aren’t cutting it and I don’t wanna brew those up every other day to feed.

So here were are almost at day 21 so I’ll be doing a full blown leaf strip and I’ll show a before and after. So strap in tight things are about to go down!!

I’m even more excited after watching a documentary on YouTube about compound genetics and how he became involved with Berner and his Cookies brand. I found out it all started with him bringing a jar of his flagship strain THE GRAPE GAS to berner and the rest was history. This has made me even more excited to see how this strain grows and I even seen a quick shot of the finished product and man oh man anyone saying elite clones aren’t worth it are about to be proven wrong in this thread. Link to the short documentary is linked down ⬇️

I like how clean your setup is. Covering the soil and all.

Why do you cover the soil?
Clean look?

The domes i would imagine holds the water lines and there might be a sprayer under there?

But the white plastic ?

The white plastic is a mulch cover and it’s on my earthbox which as a sub irrigated planter where a water res sits below allowing the plant to obtain water when needed. So the cover helps retain moisture and helps keep pests at bay. Also it’s amazing to see lots of feeder roots coming up thru the top of the soil and the cover shields them from the intense light.

As for the domes you see those are called hydrolock drip irrigation domes and yes they have 2 sprayers on the inside of the dome. The dome also helps retain moisture.

Thanks for checking out my garden! 🙌

It is a beautiful garden. I would imagine it was for those reasons but thanks for clarifying!

I checked out those boxes, they dont ship outside us/can unfortunately.

Really a step up in many ways.

I will try to draw some tips and knowledge from here, I am planning on going all vermiculture soon. With precycling organic amendments mixed into etc.

It will be the next step from using enzymes and liquid organic nutrients mixed in water, as is what I do

Are elite clones worth it? If you are happy with what you paid for it then it was worth it.
I will say though; with 159,999 elite clones to choose from, what exactly is it that make them elite? Is it potency or taste? Flowering time or amount of stretch? Yield or bud density? Intensity of high or duration?
There's so many desirable traits wanted, its almost impossible to ever get the perfect clone. Always room for improvement. Are you gonna make seeds?

Dry amendments are where it’s at man it’s super hard to burn them compared to liquid feeding. I’m all about the organics as well 🙌

It can be all of the above bc these breeders and big growers have the resources to pop a couple hundred seeds of the same strain if they want to find that “unicorn”. As for what CLTVTD hunted for precisely I’m unsure but all the strains from the grape gas line sold out super quick and I’m seeing packs of these same seeds for 6-8 hundred dollars a pack. So that makes it super rare unless you buy a cut or pay a crazy amount to get the seeds. So I’m paying for the work put in to phenohunt this cultivar. You’ve been making your own strains and testing like 2 at a time now imagine if you were able to pop like a hundred of those seeds you made and found one that was super dank. You could keep it around. Someone like you that grows for himself and throws away a lot ya probably wouldn’t make sense. My product finds its way into other hands and the masses are spoiled af these days so that’s a factor as well. They have a lab report on thc content which is nice knowing the pheno you have is super potent. Yes yes I know that can vary and it’s not guaranteed but if you give her everything she wants and she is kept super healthy she’s going to deliver those levels which is pushing 30%!!! I could keep going on but it’s all good I’ll let the results speak for themselves. I also plan on doing a full clone grow in my 5x5 and the uniformity is great and I dont want to waste time on a couple pounds of mediocre bud that I end up getting stuck with. Different strokes for different folks.

I guess I'm lucky. I don't have too many mediocre seeds. That said, I do a lot of experiments and they don't always work out. I test a few from each batch and if they aren't all killer, I feed them to the chickens. For me, that's the fun part, because I do have enough guaranteed dank seeds to fall back on.

Oh ya man most definitely fun that’s what it’s all about! It is however a nice hack to start with something killer. I’m doing my first phenohunt and seeing the differences as they grow and the end result is part of it. Then I’ll cross my hunted pheno with the grape gas that was hunted for me. I love the process and would like to get a to place where I see pictures being uploaded of my genetics. That would be so satisfying but if not I’m just as happy making them for myself.

I love the creating part. Taking a plant that's perfect in some ways and making it better. Like my reveg clone is the perfect smoke, the only thing is its too tall and takes too long to finish. I'm crossing it to two different males that are shorter and faster.

Keep at it you will get there. My first R1 feminized cross broke ground and it’s a purple kush crossed with punch cake (wedding cakeXpurple punch). I’m hoping the purple kush will bring the higher yield into the cross and tighter node spacing with the potency of this punch cake which is getting chopped tomorrow. There’s so much you can do with genetics it’s amazing!

Got my own Stinky Colombian just popped. I'll be running it beside a store bought seed. Voodoo Thai by Victory Gardens is a cross between landrace thai and an elite clone called The White.

Ayyyy just wanted to give a shout out to @SweeetL3af for sending me some ETHOS genetics! Another renowned breeder I’ve been wanting to try. We actually did a trade but the extra ethos strain I was not expecting so thanks brotha!!
