Venting the heat from a 1/2HP chiller

Has anyone here ever hooked up a duct to the back of their chiller to exhaust all the heat it produces out of the room? I'm setting up a sealed room, so getting rid of the heat from my chiller is the next problem on my list to solve.

Venting and sealed rooms dont go hand in hand. Either relocate the chiller outside your room or increase your A/C to cover the additional 6k btu.

put it outside the room, then back it up to a small carbon filter, or a big one like so

Thanks for the pics. What's the reason for backing it up against a carbon filter if it's outside of the room though?

You can build a box around the back of it and vent it with a small centrifugal fan.

That is what Janus did with his.

But wouldnt it still be pulling the air from inside the room?

Put it out of the room and run longer hoses, maybe in the attic?

I dont think putting the chiller in the attic is a good idea. Not in a hot climate anyway. It can get to be like 130 degrees or more up there during the middle of summer.

haha thats my room unsealed so I just put it by the scrubber to get it out the room before it even an issue

a box outside the room would def work with like a 6in fan no problem

althou if you are doing a sealed room and cant put it outside the room for whatever reason, Id put it infront of your scrubber anywhoo, the CFM of the fan will take some of that heat out no bout a doubt it

I built those boxes for him, just make sure your fan is rated about 20% higher then what the chiller requires. Butt eazy. Suerte JK
