Hello All!

I am a relatively new gardener and have been here for a few months and this is by far my favorite community...looking to start making some real contributions to this forum!

We just popped a pack of L.A.D. and are about 20 days in 2k (quantam's are dialed down a bit) + a few kessills from seedlings and are about a week away from flower...

Looking for advice on the correct way to top these bad asses and prepare them to turn into monsters before they go under 12k flower...

8 out of the 11 are l.a.d. 2 of the others are greenhouse white russian and another greenhouse lemon skunk...each lady will have 1k + a magenta kessil to it

Any suggestions/tips/help are welcome!

lmao@Mo!! I feel you.

Not much you can do in one week besides top once IMO. Unless you plan to top through stretch phase. Topping should have been started already, once again, IMO.

What up bro! Nice setup you got going. The youngins are looking great. First off if your going to do 1 plant per light then i would advise you to veg them in the same room they will be flowering in. Just switch out the bulbs to mh and add your kessil and veg away. They would be way to big to move when properly vegged for a cycle under a 1k light. Topping should be done when the plant has 3-4 nodes. Smaller the better for sure. Your going to have to top multiple times lets say every 2 weeks to get her beafy enough to achieve proper results from the 1k light. A nice 2 month veg with lots of topping and training and you should succeed. Good luck with everything and were here to help you through the way for sure. Peace out and let the training begin :)

thanks for all the advice fellow farmers...

the other strains aren't my choice...just the Alien!

I appreciate the responses...

2 month veg in the 12k room would be nice but we are trying to get the perpetual garden going...time to look into a bigger tent...I hate tents..

Also, very good info on the topping...if I can't get it right this time at least I can get the next few packs right...I will keep the progress updated!

Good effort for a relatively new gardener bro! What has already been said is correct. Without extending veg time, thus allowing you to top repeatedly, with that 1 week window you're basically relegated to only topping once and seeing how you go.

Plant size is irrelevant when it comes to yield. If their not large enough for you just put more plants in. I personally wouldnt top within 2-3 weeks of light switch. Pruning or topping plants redirects their growth hormones. By pruning selectively, you manipulate auxin hormone levels in branch and flower tips. Removing a branch or branch tip causes hormonal balances to shift. Cutting the meristem (top growth tip) of a cannabis plant will diffuse hormones (auxins) and cause greater concentrations in lower branch tips, which will cause lower buds to gain girth and weight. Its takes time for the plant to recuperate/heal from the broken/cut branches. Perpetual gardens are done best with smaller plants in large numbers, that way you can cut down on down time during veg or turn your veg tent into another flower room, IMHO.
