Week 8 Bloom: got a little bit of nutrient burn from not flushing the base which is now choked with a healthy root system. So, I had to poke a hole through the roots to get the hand pump access to better flush the container. Bottom line, I won't use the aerogrow again even for one plant. The 200 model just doesn't have the fluid capacity (1 gallon only). So, I will go to a 5 gallon bucket for my next grow.
Anyhoo, took a look at the trichomes and they are still mostly clear with the pistils browning out. Great smell. Buds still need to develop more. So, I am upping the bud boosting nutes and lowering the base nutrients to 5ml/gal (Humbolt A&B). I think I was letting the TDS get a little high at 900-1000 on the meter. So, I might have had some nutrient lock, judging by the condition of some of the leaves. Fortunately, the White Widow appears to be quite forgiving of these mistakes. Not sure about my first harvest, but I want bigger buds (who doesn't) and will up the Humbolt bloom nutrients and use distilled water, next time, as I think the tap water is upping the TDS count, which seems like a lost opportunity(?) ... Still figuring this out, though.
