...for 1/2 cup per cubic foot, and didn't realize she had already added the 10 cups of kelp. I do have Gypsum in my mineral mix that I apply 4 cups per cubic foot. It is one part gypsum, two parts granite dust, and one part oyster shell flour. I also added a little bit of Greensand in with the mix.

Same here. Powderize rice hulls and top dress that. Scratch it in. Silica helps plants protect themselves from heat. Agsil16 works great as well. That's potassium silicate. Both help plants mitigate heat. Greensand also good but it takes time to see true benefits.
