Why tf is there a hole in my stalk? (First grow)

Do you mean Septoria? Would be highly unlikely in an indoor operaation. However if you are in an area where the fungus is prevelant on trees or plants, most likely trees, then you may have spore on your shoes or clothes. Even that is rather improbable unless you are coming in direct contact...

New here glad to be part of the forum

I'd leave it as is and let it run it's course and make notes of things you have done and obsevations you make along the way. I am not a lighting expert. I just use a couple Spider Farmers for my indoor set up and have had good results. I think 50 watts per square foot is comon practice but...

Based on the stretching I'd say you do not have adequate light. Any possibility of planting outside?

Why tf is there a hole in my stalk? (First grow)

Yes bugs can get inside. They prefer to be anywhere there's a food source i.e. your plants.

If you're in UK then it's most likely a european corn borer. They are very prevelent in the US, but are native to your side of the Atlantic.

Why tf is there a hole in my stalk? (First grow)

If you are located in Colorado it is most likely a hemp borer as there is a massive infestation there. Borers are the larval stages of different moths. So if you have a lot of moth activity in or around your growing area thats most likely your culprit. BT is short for Bacillus thuringiensis a...

BT if you see signs of the larva which is most likely. However inspect the underside of all leaves for egg clusters and rub them off and destroy the eggs. If you can phyically find the worm, I am interested to see if it's a corn borer or a hemp borer. The plant will recover from borer damage...

Hemp farmin 2021 on a budget

NRCS is basically throwing money at anyone who wants to build hoop houses currently. My neighbor got approved for four houses this year. Grant covers about 250% of the hoop cost so there is extra money for labor or materials like lumber and irrigation systems and plastic. Worth looking into for...

$1000 upgrade - best way to spend?

+1 lighting. Unless you are handy and have some engineering skill you can build a reliable automactic system using a decent logic controller with a 1k budget. But I think your money serve you better in lighting.

Corn prices through the roof right now. CBD is an over inflated market that I think may drop significantly in the next two years.

    No till regenerative

I know this post is from a while back. Can you give any details to how your cover crop has held up over the past year. Did some seeds over winter beter than others? Are you regularly mowing or trimming between the rows? Has the hairy vetch climbed any plants? And do you test your soil?

Hemp farmin 2021 on a budget

Can you please go more into depth about your method. For example, are you planning on tillage, and if so do you plant in plastic. There are people in my area also doing cbd flowers and I've flirted with fiber hemp mostly out of curiosity and an interest in the combine technology.

    Cal/Mag deficiency in living soil

Dried eggshells pulverized into a powder is good fast acting dry amendment calcium for soil. Eggshell powder is also availble on the market. I have used feed grade oyster shell as well when low on perlite for drainage and extra calcium. Sea shell is not as fast acting as eggshell though both...
