    Crappy looking plants

Just read this while re-reading messages to make sure I didnt miss any shared information, and I did lol. I keep fish tanks and was always curious if a properly set up hydroponics systems could house bacteria properly for a healthy nitrogen cycle long term(year plus). A live system would be...

    Crappy looking plants

Good information, thanks. Wont lie alot of what I'm doing is based off my notes/doodles from observations when I first started coco. One of my bold/capitlized notes was dont over water. I did try keeping coco on moist side in veg and water twice daily at first. Plants started to look over...

    Crappy looking plants

I grew in rdwc for 3 years and it was fairly easy, got to a point of understanding the relationship between ppm and ph, I was topping off nutrients daily and doing water changes every 2 or 3 weeks sometimes 4 if working alot. I'll pry go back to it in a couple of grows, just liked the idea of...

    Crappy looking plants

That is all true, just came across a few threads on hear saying 6/9,. Which is straying off the Lucas formula 8/16. I used 8/16 for 3 years and never had any issue, used it on coco first two times never had an issue, looks like I'm going back to that ratio. And see if things turn around for...

    Crappy looking plants

What do you mean? I use proper ph (5.8-6.1). I dont use a cheap ph pen, and the blue lab ph monitor is calibrated regularly...infact it tells me when it wants calibrated, every 30 days with flashing lights. I rinse with r.o water after after every use. Between uses its stored properly in ph probe...

    Crappy looking plants

I do use bennies forgot to include that in nutrient line up. I like the sulphur idea because that is one are that has changed. During my first 2 runs I used full strength Lucas(8/16 from rooted clone to end of flower(. Never had an issue, great results actually. Reading more on coco I came...

    Mold or?

I used gloves when removing seeds from package/making germination bag/towel, and I didnt prep coco until the following day. So cross contamination couldnt of happened.

    Mold or?

I have mycelium in my current coco grow and the coco it's in seedling pot now is from same package as current grow. But white fibers were on seed in new plastic bag, bleached paper towel, and the water used had peroxide. That's where white fibers started, once in coco white fibers exploded in...

    Mold or?

Positive on seed as white fibers were on it when removing from paper towel(which is why I assumed paper towels until this morning). It confuses me because I used peroxide and it was only 36ish hours before seeds popped and in coco. Could mold or Mycelium grow in that type of sterile environment...

Medium- coco/perlite Nutrients-dilluted gh notes Water-r.o. Light- basic t8 Germination- paper towel method with peroxide Temp 78°f I popped four seeds and got 100% yay!! One seed had these white fibers coming out of it and I thought it was from paper towel and didnt care. I checked this...

Revisiting problem of rising CO2 at night

Thanks for the post, it made me look into an issue I've had for sometime. High co2 hasnt been an issue for plants, but for my corals..yes. I have around 500ish gallons of reef tanks in basement and maintaining the ph is a constant struggle. I determined it was from elevated co2 in and connected...

RDWC - TopOff (steering vs water change)

Not sure if it is correct but I do both. I top with R.O. water until ppm drops to 700ish from 1300. If the water doesnt smell, surface of pumps, probes, or air stones arent slimy I add nutrients to bring ppm back to 1300ish. Clean or not I do water changes every 3 weeks. I started doing this...

    Growerslights.com

Just got the information for shipment, again never meant to discredit growers lights. Only warning fellow growers to be cautious if one is in dire need of light. As stated in previous post a mishap put me in a position where I absolutely needed it 4 weeks ago. Luckily a buddy had a spare 600...

    Growerslights.com

Currently at 30 days from purchase, no update, and no return call or email and most importantly no light. Eye is starting to twitch lol. I know I'll get the light, haven't read one post on someone being scammed by them. Really hoping Monday brings good news.

    What is happening?!

How many times a day/how long do you run the water? I made the mistake with young plants and too many waterings a day/a couple during lights out and my plants looked like that. Switched to once a day / every other day for the first week or 2 and never had the same issue.
