How can I get more out of my buds?

Molasses is only useful to kickstart microorganisms which are needed to unlock nitrogen in organic soil mixes.

Are these ready for flower? 6 weeks. Lots of defoliation and training

"I removed the ugly leaves, so now they don't look ugly." Those ugly leaves tell me that something is not going well. Your plants didn't get better, you just hid the signs. Your lower leaves are showing signs of deficiency, but that may in fact be a symptom of over watering, because other...

Alternatives to expensive cannabis targeted nutrients

Ah shit, your local county extension office is all you need. Container planting for weed is harder then sustained beds. You have smaller volume, you're often, and in my opinion mistakenly, trying to pump nutes to a plant to pump yield. It's a harder problem. Larger beds avoid a lot of...

Alternatives to expensive cannabis targeted nutrients

You're dealing with a more managed approach. I grow in raised beds outdoors. They are four years old now, and have been built up with steer and mushroom compost every year, which I augment with a general garden fertilizer (Happy Frog) for the veggies, Botanicare for the weed. With both, I use...

Alternatives to expensive cannabis targeted nutrients

My time is worth a lot more than that savings. Weed is legal here, I can't give away my excess, because the legal stuff is so cheap, and I don't waste time making pretty buds, because I don't sell.

    My seedlings have a deficiency

Most common problem is overwatering, seedlings rarely exhibit deficiencies. I suggest getting a pH meter from HomeDepot for 15 bucks and checking your soil. Somebody will chime in that those suck; I have tested them against two different chemical kits, they work fine, and the results correlate...

Alternatives to expensive cannabis targeted nutrients

Nothing. I grow for personal use, I get more than I need. I don't care whether the buds are tight, and my strains and climate (outdoors) do everything else that I need. See them here: https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/pnw-outdoor-grow-2018.95614

Alternatives to expensive cannabis targeted nutrients

I bought a gallon each of Botanicare grow and bloom three years ago, have grown maybe 15 lbs from those two gallons, and still have half of each. Y'all are using too much. Nutes aren't food.

I'm late to the party, but those plants are overwatered.

Looks like a little nute burn. If you're feeding them, stop for a few weeks. Plants need way less fertilzer than you think.

LST project - Summer 2020 PNW

Moles don't eat plants. The lil fucker was just making a mess everywhere. I've been trying to get him for three years.

LST project - Summer 2020 PNW

I expect to do about 2/3 of that, based on past harvests. The plants were started early, are very healthy, should at least equal prior averages of 3lbs/plant. This should be pretty much a hedge in a couple months. I'm mostly trying to keep them lower/less visible to reduce theft risk. If...

How to get rid of black spider mites (Borg mites)

I have been successful in using Azamax as recommended in a three day cycle, rotated if needed with spinosad. Safe, and for me effective. I add either either an insecticdal sope or a couple drops of dish detergent, just to get surfactant capabilities

re your 'spider mites', I don't see any spider mites. I see, possibly, a minor thrip infestation. Azamax works great against those.

    Ph problem in soil

Measure the soil, and adjust the soil, not the water. Get one of the soil test kits to be precise, or get the 12 dollar meter from Home depot. Measure the soil after you water, after the water has set for a bit. If you use the meter, wait for at least five minutes before you read it. Assuming...
