Anybody have experience with companion planting for pest deterrent?

I've acquired the black plague of death super specie of mite I can't get rid of. Every commercial pesticide / miticide recommended for mites I own and all have failed to kill these things or even provide meaningful control. I don't want to get into the weeds here because the purpose of this post...

Coco problems. Need advice. Godfather OG, Sherbert, Gorilla Chemdog, & Mac1

The rest: 2 small cups of romaine lettuce I did just for shits and grins. Also A nice control plant to keep in the garden for pest detection. Resin glands can be very difficult to differentiate from spider mite eggs but lettuce leaf is smooth as a baby's ass under a microscope, so if any eggs...

Coco problems. Need advice. Godfather OG, Sherbert, Gorilla Chemdog, & Mac1

I started these plants in coco but began having some leaf issues early on about 2 weeks from the seedlings cracking above the coco. The leaves on the new growth curve inward. The plant overall looks healthy and lush, but there's definitely something amiss. This is my first time trying coco and...

I use to buy brick weed by the ounce from this fucking guy that was such a piece of work he'd charge $65/half on the regular for the most awful brick weed loaded with seeds you could find. When we bitched about the seeds ya know what he told us? I bought the seeds. So will you. Back then it was...

You may want to take a seat for this. I have something devastating to share with you. People lie. Sometimes intentionally. Sometimes out of ignorance. And people run companies :)

They look like COB's but the specs indicate only lm301b chips. No COB's. It looks like it's just a very cool looking custom PCB with standard issue lm301 diodes. If you're trying to spend that kind of money I'd just get an HLG. I've never met a single grower that owns one who has a single bad...

I really like this one: https://rapidled.com/collections/horticulture-fixtures/products/chilled-logic-4-x-4-grow-fixture Have you checked out budget led? They've got some great looking fixtures for pretty reasonable prices.

Coin flip? I think that's about as reliable as those estimates tossed around :) Right now those are just empty used car salesman style promises that are worth as much as a fart in the wind. Time will tell if these things actually achieve the lifespan any of these manufacturers claim. And not...

The vendor I buy from on alibaba will slap your own company logo on all of the units and build them to your specifications if you order "X" amount of them. That's all the SF / mars / Meizhi op is doing. They don't own any factories. They're just a company with deep pockets who are really good at...

It's less than a year old. I reached out to the amazon rep with my invoice and photos of the damage. They made their position clear and weren't interested in budging. This was about a month ago and I've made peace with it at this point. Sometimes ya just gotta eat some hash caps and have a...

The one thing I tell anybody that's looking to buy their first LED light is to make sure you buy what you want. Don't buy something because of mob mentality or because someone twisted your arm into "x" brand. Some people love HLG and that's cool. It's their garden. Grow it how you want, right...

I can totally dig that man. I never knew how emotional people got over plant lighting until I got into LED grow lights. Bring a bat and a blade because shit gets real. Every "which light is the best" thread turns into a complete dumpster fire. Bring marshmallows. You can't have mine :)

They're not bad lights at all. Compared to the competition such as HLG or even Budget LED they're considerably more affordable while offering equivalent performance. They've sold a ton of them and they're going to sell a ton more, because the build quality is fairly solid and the on board...

No disrespect meant. They poorly handled a warranty issue related to a defective board and offered me a $20 refund. For that reason I can not recommend them. Spider farmer and mars are indeed the same company creating the illusion of competition. They used to be known as Meizhi. If you pull up...

I should say the 3000k/5000k chip setup works great. There is nothing wrong with that configuration. I'm seeing noticeably better growth with the 2 plants under the new 3500k lights. After seeing these results I plan to order my next 4 boards in 3500k chips. Still gotta replace a power sucking...

I have 6 qb's. 4 are 3000k/5000k mixture of chips. The 2 most recent 660w qb's I bought in 3500k chips are producing much better vegetative growth. 3500k is the optimal spectrum for veg to bloom. The 3000k/5000k chips will work but not as effectively as 3500k. 3500k is full spectrum and highly...
