My last grow dwc looked the same way. The cause ended up being that I had let water temps get too high and I also had an equipment failure that led to the roots slowly drowning. Maybe drowned Roots.
That may very well be the case. You never really know with some thing like this until you give ur ideas a go. I’m hoping to atleast make a little progress in the concept. Well see.
Your set up looks pretty good for something cheaply thrown together. You gotta start somewhere. Plus I’ve found quite a bit of joy in upgrading and improving bit by bit and seeing how it affects the outcome. Cheers.

I’m using AdvancedLed XML 350 for a 4x4x6.5 tent. They are a bit expensive but they are a quality light. I don’t have personal experience on any of the other top brands but I have heard good things about some of them.
It’s hard to say. Honestly my forte is hydro. It doesn’t sound as though it’s a lack of nutrients. If it was a nutrient lockout situation then the flush should have solved that.
